MDC Alliance deputy president, Tendai Biti has mourned the late former education minister Aeneas Chigwedere who succumbed to COVID-19 Friday morning.
Posting on Twitter, Biti said Chigwedere’s death is a great loss to Zimbabwe as he was pre-eminent authority on the country’s ancient history.
“The passing on of soko Aeneas Chigwedere is great loss to Zim.He was a great headmaster who mentored & inspired us at Goromonzi High School. More than that he was the preeminent authority on Zim s ancient history.Very grateful for the privilege of our Munhumutapa talks #RIPSoko,” said Biti.
Chigwedere is one of the four top personalities who died of Covid-19 yesterday including transport minister Joel Biggie Matiza, retired prisons boss Paradzai Zimondi and former energy minister Mike Nyambuya.
