By James Gwati-Zanu PF is pushing for the withdrawal of diplomatic passports from the Nelson Chamisa led MDC parliamentarians who ignored President Mnangagwa’s address in parliament.
The push is coming from a parliament portfolio committee chaired by Zanu PF MP for Mudzi South, Jonathan Samkange.
Samukange wants the 118 sitting and former MDC Members of Parliament and senators’ diplomatic passports to be withdrawn because they either sand remained seated or walked out when President Mnangagwa came to Parliament on five formal occasions.
MDC-Alliance legislators sang, boycotted the sitting, remained seated or walked out of the chamber on five occasions when President Mnangagwa delivered his State of the Nation addresses or was present on other formal occasions.
