Mnangagwa Inflates Jumbo Population Figures To Justify, Elephant Trophy Smuggling

By A correspondent- President Emmerson Mnangagwa administration is claiming that Zimbabwe’s elephant population has shot up to over 100 000 over the last decade so that the ruling elite finds a justification to loot the national resources to China.

The junta government which has a history of looting national resources said jumbo population in both private and national sanctuaries has been increasing at a rate of around 5000 annually.

The government announced this through the Parks and Wildlife management parastatal at the weekend.

Elephants in Zimbabwe are found mainly in four blocks namely Hwange-Matetsi, Sebhungwe around Matusadonha, mid-Zambezi and south-east Lowveld covering Gonarezhou National Park.
