Six time champions Zimbabwe made an embarrassing exit from the COSAFA Cup losing 2-1 to Senegal.

This is the worst performances by Zimbabwe in the tournament and like has become the norm coach Zdravko Logarusic blamed fatigue for the defeat against Senegal.

” We started the match well but fatigue creeped in and Senegal managed to come back into the match. We played a number of games in a short space of time and this was too much for the players who have not played football in a long time,” said Logarusic.

The Warriors coach said he was going to pick three players from the squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers in September.

” I managed to identify three players who will be part of the national team for the World Cup qualifiers. The other players will form the spine of the CHAN qualifiers.”

The Warriors bow out of the tournament without a win, their worst performance in the tournament which they are record winners.
