It might be early days yet but promising Zimbabwean striker Leeroy Munyorovi has hit the ground running at his new German club 1. FC Merseburg e.V scoring three goals in four pre- season matches.

Munyorovi joined the fifth tier German League side recently from
Slovakian side MŠK Púchov and seems to be settling well ahead of the start of the new season next month.

He said is hoping to continue with his pre- season form when the season starts.

“I’m happy with how things are shapping up at the moment, so far so good, I’m adjusting well,” Munyorovi said.

” The coach is deploying me as a centre striker and giving me the responsibility to lead the attack. I’m happy that so far I have managed to make the coach happy with my returns, three goals in four matches.

” It’s not really easy to get to a new club, new country and quickly adjust. German football is tough but I’m impressed with my input so far. I just need to work even extra hard that when the season starts I just continue with this form and score goals that will help my team achieve the desired goals.”
