By A Correspondent- Former Information Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo said President Emmerson Mnangagwa was way older than he claims.

The exiled former cabinet minister said anonymous sources told him that Mnangagwa was born in 1942 and not 1946 as he claims. 

” Some who were with him in Zambia, and were born in Sept 1938, say they used to have joint birthday parties with him. In the 1980s/90s, press reports said he was born in Sept 1942. Now he says he was born in 1946. Truth is he’s turning 83 next month!,” Jonso posted on his Twitter handle Wednesday evening.

 Moyo is one of the alleged kingpins of the defunct G40 cabal, a Zanu PF faction, who openly and staunchly opposed the Lacoste faction, led by then vice president Mnangagwa.

 He skipped the country’s borders when the military, then under now vice president Constantino Chiwenga removed then-president Robert Mugabe from power.
