Mnangagwa took almost 24 hours to acknowledge HH’s victory because of his close links with Edgar Lungu, who lost the Presidential poll to his long time opponent.
Tuesday evening, Mnangagwa grudgingly took to Twitter and reached out to Zambia’s new President.
on your election victory. I have no doubt that you will serve Zambia with distinction for the benefit of all. I look forward to working with you over the coming years for the benefit of both peoples,” Mnangagwa posted.
