By A Correspondent- President Emmerson Mnangagwa has demoted Primary and Secondary Education Minister Cain Mathema.

In a statement Wednesday, Misheck Sibanda, Mnangagwa’s chief secretary, said Mathema had been moved and was a Minister without Portfolio in the President’s office.

Sibanda did not state the reasons for Mathema’s demotion.

Mathema has been ill for and has not been in the public domain for almost three months now.

He has been replaced and Cabinet the Minister of State in Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s Office, Dr Evelyn Ndlovu.
