Details have emerged that Former Masvingo Provincial Affairs minister, Kudakwashe Bhasikiti is being closely monitored by members of the notorious Central Intelligence Organisation, CIO in the same way democracy activist Itai Dzamara was before his disappearance on the 9th March. A 4×4 truck similar to the one that loitered around Dzamara’s residence before his disappearance, was spotted and the agent apprehended.

Bhasikiti  says he now fears for his life after a suspected intelligence official was apprehended while trailing him.
Bhasikiti claimed he received a tip-off from his neighbours that a white Toyota Fortuner had been trailing him for the past week and dropping off a young woman close to his Borrowdale house.
“I was being followed by a Toyota Fortuner vehicle to and from my house. Whenever I got home they would leave a woman manning my exit point. This has been going on for a whole week,” Bhasikiti said.
“This morning the car followed my driver as he went to buy bread. We were alerted and called the driver and he saw them. On his way back they followed and dropped the woman at the same point. I asked my guys to apprehend the girl and we took her to Borrowdale police station.”
He said a docket RRB2494285 was opened at Borrowdale Police Station.
Bhasikiti said on the way to the police station, the woman said she lived in Sunningdale but when they got to the police station, she changed her story and said she lived in Glen View.
“She told the police that she worked for the CIO,” said Bhasikiti.

“About five cars which included that Toyota Fortuner and a Ford Ranger twin cab immediately came to the police station. They said they wanted to rescue their colleague who had been abducted. The police ignored them and they left.”
Bhasikiti has been giving President Robert Mugabe headaches after taking him to court to fight his dismissal from Zanu PF and recall from Parliament.
He was fired from Zanu PF together with several party stalwarts over allegations of working with ousted former vice-president Joice Mujuru in an alleged plot to kill Mugabe. He denied the charges.
Bhasikiti lost his case at the Constitutional Court on Friday and said he was planning to travel to Masvingo where he would file his papers as an independent candidate for the Mwenezi East constituency.-Standard
