Another Kombi Accident Highly Disturbing Pictures Of Zimbabweans Affected

A Correspondent| Another kombi accident has been reported near Louis Trichardt in South Africa.
Scores of Zimbabweans are feared dead in the collision which happened on the road to Beitbridge border post on the South African side; whose exact details could not be obtained at the time of writing. Disturbing scenes of the injured’s bodies were seen lying around the scene with no help in sight. Most of the pictures are too gruesome to publish on newsprint. The findings from the accident details were sketchy at the time of writing. – More to follow…

While we may not be having the exact details of the cause of the accident, the Kombi drivers all over Zimbabwe, are very careless and dangerous. Their driving habits are so scary. We have heard and witnessed a lot of accidents that were caused by these Kombi drivers. The ZRP has always been there while this happens under their nose while fleecing money elsewhere from private motorists. I have seen some Kombies that are unroadworthy driving in and around towns with the blessing of the ZRP. No, lights, hooter, worn out tyres but with a certificate of fitness. There is a lot that needs to be done to bring sanity in Zimbabwe. Let the investigations into the accident be carried out objectively and the root cause be established and dealt with accordingly. We cannot continue loosing lives just like that. Nobody has the right whatsoever to cause or terminate anybody’s life. Please investigate and let those accountable be dealt with.
Someone should be telling these operators to drive safely and not speed or drink while driving and they should take their licences away if they fail to comply with regulations
