Terrence Mawawa, Masvingo | Embattled MDC vice president Thokhozani Khupe is targeting areas perceived to be MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa’ s strongholds.

Well placed sources told ZimEye.com yesterday Khupe has deployed her team to Masvingo Province in a bid to unsettle her rival.

“We are likely to witness a raging battle between Chamisa and Khupe.

Khupe’ s team is in Masvingo Province on a fact finding mission.

Their objective is very clear – they want to destabilise Chamisa’ s campaign programme,” an MDC official said yesterday.

Masvingo based political writer Batsiranayi Ngugama yesterday described the leadership crisis in the MDC as a jigsaw puzzle that would impact negatively on the party’ s hopes of winning the coming elections.
