By Talent Gondo| Leader of the MDC T breakaway faction led by Dr Thokozani Khupe promised better lives for citizens once elected into power at a Luveve rally attended by an estimated 100 supporters.

Dr Khupe, who dismissed any chances of rejoining the MDC T led by Advocate Nelson Chamisa, arguing that her party could not merge with political parties which failed to uphold constitutionalism promised free medication and education to Zimbabweans if they vote her for President in the forthcoming elections.

“Government should be responsible to teach people especially at primary education and parents should only start paying school fees at secondary education going upwards,” said Dr Khupe.

“We don’t tolerate violence and as such we have since moved on and we are ready to face whoever is standing in these elections,” she said.

Vice President of the party, Obert Guru (Saturday) said his party was poised for victory in the forthcoming elections.

“I am not the party spokesperson but what i can tell you is that we are on a roll and we are having meetings being attended by thousands of people.

The election results are going to shock the nation,” said Gutu, referring all questions to the party spokesperson  Linda Masarira.

However, the party’s national chairman, Mr Abednico Bhebhe addressing the same rally in Luveve admitted that Zanu Pf was better organised in rural areas and it was difficult to defeat the ruling party in their strongholds.

“Zanu PF is very clever when it comes to managing the elections. We have 57 rural district councils and only there are being controlled by the opposition and that explains why it is not easy to remove Zanu PF from power.

We need to go to Zanu PF strongholds and fight there not to waste time in Bulawayo and Matabeleland region,” said Bhebhe.
