By Terrence Mawawa| Like his predecessor and mentor Robert Mugabe, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has warned the people of Zimbabwe against trampling on the values of the liberation struggle.

According to ZBC Online Mnangagwa said the people of Zimbabwe should never take the values of the liberation struggle for granted.

Responding to Mnangagwa’ s remarks social analyst Antony Taruvinga said:

“Bring us back to where we were before this
independence nonsense.

Actually, we were still going to get independence
anyway even maybe without the barrel of the gun. There
are a lot of African countries that got their
independence without waging any war.

All African
countries are free now. Take your independence and
we will fight for our freedom.”

Cee Gospell also wrote:
“Emmerson keep your independence and we will take
our Zimbabwe and our Freedom.”
