Villagers in Zimuto Communal Area have sensationally claimed that local kraal heads are receiving bribes from Zanu PF to propel its political events.

The villagers have since compiled a report- they hope will be presented to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission.

The villagers alleged local kraal heads received figures between $ 10 and $ 15 to drive the ruling party campaign.

“Last week kraal heads received money from Zanu PF officials and the traditional leaders pledged to spearhead the ruling party campaign in the area.

Some of the kraal heads are already moving around the local villages intimidating voters,” sources in Zimuto told ZimEye.com yesterday.

However a Zimbabwe Electoral Commission Provincial Official said relevant investigations would be carried out to establish the facts on the ground.
