By Own Correspondent| A citizen here has implored Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube to stop being bossy and appreciate that his mandate is to serve Zimbabweans.

We publish below the letter by one Lynette   Manzini:

Dear Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube,

Please don’t ever forget that you are in that position to serve the people of Zimbabwe, don’t ever confuse it to think you are a boss of some sort.Under normal circumstances the person who appointed you, gets his mandate from the people, so don’t get that twisted.

I listened to your interview with Linda Muriro on StarFM last night, your responses were a waste of the sponsors money. I have failed to understand how you accept to take part in a program then whilst on air you want to dictate what you will discuss or not.

Minister you were live on radio and not in the treasury board room dzikamai next time.Kudo’s to Linda Muriro for taking charge in the studio.

Anyway, I was disappointed because you kept apologizing for using big words, if you wanted to communicate, I believe you would have taken a deliberate effort to break down the terms for the ordinary man and woman on the street.Next time speak to the communication task force before leaving the office, if at all it still exists.

The host of the show asks you, how much you will save from the presidium’s 5% salary cut and you decline to mention the figure then you go ahead to tell us how the presidium is walking the talk of austerity to prosperity.Mr Minister, the people will be the judge of who is walking the talk.

A listener calls and asks the question again and you brushed it off, so why on earth did you come to this studio?

It’s either you had not calculated the savings yet or the cut is just window dressing. If your ministry is open for business, please furnish us with the necessary details. As a tax payer and a citizen of this country I demand to know!
