Farai Dziva|In what many observers believe is a political gimmick by Zanu PF to confuse the people of Zimbabwe, the ruling party has claimed it wants Nelson Chamisa to remain at the helm of the MDC A because he is politically weak.

In a statement ZANU PF UK claimed:
MDC Alliance is strategically very weak with Nelson Chamisa as it’s leader, therefore the status quo must remain for the benefit of ZANU PF in 2023.

Bringing Douglas Mwonzora will strengthen the MDC, as he is a well rounded political strategist.

The rural people who have voted for MDC since the year 2000 are in Manicaland where Mwonzora has personally led the opposition campaign.As a party we must take heed.
