Khama Billiat is expected to get some rest while medical doctors monitor his right ankle to ascertain the extent of damage after the player suffered a knock in the Nedbank Cup fixture against Cape Town City on Sunday.

The Kaizer Chiefs winger was substituted in the 64th minute following a crunching tackle by Edmilson Dove.

Coach Ernst Middendorp told the club’s official website that they’re hoping for the best at this stage.

“I hope it’s not too bad. We will get the full picture from our medical team. Hopefully, a bit of rest will settle the pain.”

If the Warriors international fails to return to training this week, he is likely to miss Saturday’s league clash against Baroka.
