By Own Correspondent- Harare West MDC legislator Joanna Mamombe has been granted a $100 bail by a Harare magistrate.

Mamombe, who is facing charges of violating the electoral act in 2018 is also being accused of providing a false address to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission before elections last July.

MDC spokesman Jacob Mafume confirmed the development to this publication.

Mamombe, who is also currently on bail after the state accused her of planning to topple President Emmerson Mnangagwa in January following the announcement of fuel price increases which triggered national protests.

The Zimbabwean parliament’s youngest female legislator is accused of treason after she held a press conference where she allegedly incited the masses to engage in the national violence which ensured on January 14 2019 where an unconfirmed number of citizens were shot and killed by state security agents.
