BUHERA – A man from Maunze Village under Chief Nyashanu in Buhera has appeared at the local courts after he bashed his wife for borrowing mealie meal from a neighbour.

The angry Gift Chingosi (26) also used a log to destroy his hut after his wife breached his rule that the family shall not borrow mealie meal.

The court heard that Chingosi threw away the mealie meal.
Chingosi assaulted Yevai Makamure (21) using a switch.

Lovemore Chamunoita representing the State said on September 1, 2019 at 6pm the complainant told the accused that there was no mealie meal in the house. The complainant then borrowed the commodity from a neighbour.

This did not go down well with the accused. He took the borrowed mealie meal and spewed it all over the house.
