By Own Correspondent| President Emmerson Mnangagwa has with immediate effect appointed the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Dr Agnes Mahomva to a new portfolio of Chief Coordinator, National Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Chief Secretary Dr Misheck Sibanda has said.

According to Sibanda, “the post has been created after due consideration of the work of the Ad-hoc Interministerial Task Force on COVID-19, which indicated the need for an evidence based, and coordinated division of labour between and among government agencies and other significant entities.”

Sibanda said Mahomva’s replacement in the ministry of health will be announced in due course.
