The Health Ministry has given the MDC T the green light to hold the congress slated for 27 December. This was revealed in a letter from the Ministry signed by Air Commodore Jasper Chimedza that stated that:

The above matter refers.

Conditions cited in our letter dated 16 December 2020 to the Secretary General, Senator Douglas T Mwonzora on the notification to hold the MDC (Tsvangirai) Extraordinary Congress on Saturday 19 December 2020 still apply to the new proposed date of Sunday, 27 December 2020. This is meant to comply with COVID 19 control measures adopted by our country.
