Norman Tyron Carr, 32, and his mother Tracy Samantha Carr, 55 were arrested for the murder of Dylan Carr who they shot and buried in a shallow grave at their home on Cosham Avenue in Borrowdale.
It is the state’s case that:
- The duo conspired to kill Dylan Carr sometime in January after he set fire to his mother’s bed during a drug-fuelled row
- Norman shot his brother and they wrapped his body in a blanket and buried him in a shallow grave which they dug behind the garage
- Tracy hid the gun they used at her business premises
- The crime was revealed after Norman was involved in an accident with a friend and he confessed his crime to family members, the police and friends at the scene that he had killed his brother.
- ZRP launched an investigation into the matter and subsequently arrested the duo.
The pair will be back in court on 26 March. Meanwhile, Dylan’s friends thought he was away and he will subsequently show up later as usual as he was known to disappear and show up later.
