By A Correspondent- The Media Institute of Southern Africa-Zimbabwe’s provincial Advocacy Committees are today holding belated World Press Freedom Day Commemorations throughout the country.

All 12 advocacy committees have confirmed that they have been allowed by the police to holding the commemorations despite some of them having delayed notifying the authorities of their intentions to hold the events.

This year’s World Press Freedom Day Commemorations are held amid calls for the government to speed up media reforms.
