The National Constitutional Assembly today converges in Harare for its congress which comes soon after the passing of the new constitution and the just ended harmonised elections.
ZimEye is reliably informed that on the cards is a the forming of a new party to challenge Morgan Tsvangirai’s MDC-T party which lost the recently announced election results.
The NCA is expected to morph into a new party today, a colleague of Madhuku told ZimEye last week.

New party? Professor Lovemore Maduku
New party? Professor Lovemore Maduku

Professor Madhuku is als speculated to be the leader of the new party.
MDC-99 leader Job Sikhala is said to be an invited speaker at the function which will be held at Bumbiro House in the capital.
Announced Sikhala on Friday afternoon: “Tomorrow l will give 30 minutes of my time from 1100hrs to 1130hrs away from my sick father to give my solidarity speech at the NCA congress at Bumbiro House. It’s unfortunate that l will only be able to spare that 30 minutes alone and we wish the NCA a successful congress and hope that everything will pass without problems as we gathered that rivalries are plotting to disrupt the congress. Our culture of hatred to political pluralism is so sickening that it’s not long before people engage in a civil war. “

  1. Hey madhodha, this party formed to challenge Tsvangirai who lost the July 31 elections really? Why not forming a party to challenge the winner.whats the benefit of challenging a loser chokwadi? This could be another Kisinot Mukwazhi.why is Tsvangirai such a threat when he’s not even in power?

  2. @Kamudhosvo
Its pathetic that you resort to redicule the educated in order to prop up the image of the uneducated. Such desperation is beyond comprehension!!!

  3. Its really a telling failure of self confidence, if you as a leader of a political party, happily facilitates the formation of another political party that is clearly opposed to yours!!

  4. Zimbabwean professors are some of the wonders of the world. Is it that the Universities have been reduced to youth brigade centres or that there is no work to talk about in Zimbabwe? Prof Jonathan Moyo is a full time reporter in the Herald etc; Prof Arthur Mutambara is of no fixed occupation in Zanu Pf government, Tafataona Mahoso is a perennial Mugabe’s bootlicker, Madhuku an advisor to Mugabe on just ended elections and Prof. Ncube a leader of an opposition which does not want to remove Mugabe? Zimbabwe needs researchers not pseudo political leaders in the form of Professors.

  5. Another project doomed to failure. This is a guy who could not even mobilize a NO vote for the constitution.
