Shocking Obasanjo Claim By Tsvangirai in London
Former Prime Minister and MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai made a shock statement in London on Saturday when he contradicted himself announcing that on election eve this year(30 July), he was fully convinced the election would be an obvious scandal.
He said he confronted both Robert Mugabe and the African Union’s representative, Olusegun Obasanjo, and clearly told the 89 year old ruler beforehand that the elections would not be free and fair because of a flawed voters roll a few hours before going into election
Tsvangirai told a delegation of his UK leaders that a day before elections he knew very well that the voters roll was flawed with serious irregularities such that from day one he knew that the election was a sham.
Mr Tsvangirai said, “On the night before the election I went and saw Mugabe with Obassanjo. And I went with the voters’ roll of Mount Pleasant.
“I said ‘President, how do you go to an election with this voters’ roll? With over 254 names all born on the same day, how do you justify that? This is a voters’ roll that is being denied people how do you justify…
“So I am telling you whatever the outcome of this election is not going to be legitimate.’ Obasanjo was there, Mugabe was there and I told them. So I just want to say, ladies and gentlemen this was not an election. We went through some exercise of voting and before the election we stated that Mugabe was looking peaceful but rigged outcome. It was obvious.”
Tsvangirai’s statements however contradicted his own confident predictions on election day when he clearly said that he is confident of a resounding poll victory which would set him as Zimbabwe’s incoming President despite the flawed voters roll. Casting his own ballot paper at Mt Pleasant flanked by his wife, Tsvangirai indicated this was a historic moment for whole of Zimbabwe. When asked on his projections, he said his victory would be “quite resoundingly, I must say.”
“This is a very historic moment for all of us,” he added.
Several cadres coming out of the Croydon meeting said they were shocked to hear what Tsvangirai said. “If what the President said is true as it seems, then he possessed full knowledge or a perception of what was taking place, ” said one member from London Grays branch who refused to be named.

Morgan met a NATO military leader in EASTERN Europe to discuss a Libya solution about two yrs b4 elections becoz he knew that he was going to lose! All the bullshit lies about rigging are baseless! Western media predicted ZANUPF winning ,without giving rigging as the factor. Nikuv was engaged when Dumiso DAbengwa was Home Affairs minister b4 MDCT was born! Morgan continues to open his mouth b4 engaging his weak brain! Sounds like Morgan is now a prophet, prophet of mass destruction. He predicted the elections would be rigged yet he said he was going to won. He failed to predict his defeat. Kkkkk. Mr Tsvangirai never thought that the election would be rigged, he was so confident and optimistic. He had already prepared a winning speech and his wife flew to buy swearing in suits moments after casting her vote.
He short down motions of a new voters roll in parliament because he thought all these processes were delaying his ascendence to the top job in the country. TONGAI Mathuthu introduced a motion of the biometric voters roll in parliament but Tsvangirai and Lovemore Moyo decided to rubbish it.
Voters roll were prepared by home affairs ministry where Theresa was a minister. NIKUV installed irrigation equipment at Tsvangirai,s rural home. He must just accept to shoulder the blame on the loss and resign as the president of the party.
Before the election I was worried that MDC was not offering people anything. Biti’s budget did not support the farmers. Tsvangirai is not telling the truth coz he was asked to bring proof of the voter’s roll and he failed. Now he is saying he was holding it.Its quite painful when you are asked what are MDC policies eg land.He is not leading us anywhere.
The biggest weapon of mass destruction in Zimbabwe, is Tsvangirai’s mouth. Please sew that idiot’s mouth before he sends us all to hell.
