Renewal Democrats of Zimbabwe ( RDZ) strongly dismisses the article carried by the Herald  alleging that our good President Elton Steers Mangoma owes one Nelson Mukwena some moneys and that the Chisumbanje land skirmishes were sponsored by the same. We wish to put it on record that Mr Nelson Mukwena was not at anyone point contracted to provide security services to our President and that no such contract exists in our files except in his own imagination. He joined our Party as any other member but was suspended for violent conduct after he severely assaulted our Harare Provincial Treasurer Ms Madhoro. He is due to appear before a disciplinary hearing chaired by our Deputy National Chairperson Shadreck Chipangura on Thursday , 17 December 2015 at 1000HRS. We view his media rantings as an unfortunate way of wanting to subvert internal justice. RDZ is a principles and values driven political party. In terms of the RDZ Principles and Values , we are a non violent party and anyone found practicing and perpetuating the same is liable for a disciplinary hearing .
Claims that RDZ is receiving funding from the Germans are not only baseless but malicious . Mr Mukwena and his handlers must stick to basic truths and stop embarking on uncivilized lies. RDZ activities have been funded from the sales of our membership cards and dedicated individual member contributions.
We also wish to put it on record that the clashes between villagers and Greenfuel in Chisumbanje has nothing to do with Mr Mangoma but it is a direct reaction by the villagers, who are the rightful land owners, to an aggressive and provocative so called Investor who has repeatedly enlisted the services of state security agents to suppress the locals. Our policy as RDZ is that noone has the right to displace Zimbabweans from their land without adequate compensation and depriving them of their means of survival. It is also shocking and surprising that the Zanu pf government has been seizing land from what they called the minority white community in Zimbabwe to the black majority , but in Chisumbanje the same zanu pf junta is taking away land from the majority blacks to one white man and forcing The black majority to be squatters in their own country.
