Roben Mutwira Death In UK: I Am His Legal Wife.

the late Roben Mutwira

Hello Editor. I make reference to your recent article on Mr Roben Mutwira in ZimEye. There is a very awkward twist to the late Roben’s life in the UK. Let me introduce myself. My name is Eileen Mutsa Mutwira. I married the late Roben Mutwira on 10 May 1985. We have one daughter, Rujeko, now a major. However he had Monica, Mercy, Rutendo, Chido (now late) before our marriage, then Varaidzo out of wedlock. Roben left for the UK in 2004 when it became clear that Chido was terminally ill. He was granted compasionate leave by the PSC to go and see his daughter during her last days. Chido herself had preferred me to go and be with her as I was the only mother she knew after her biological mother had died in a car accident when she was only about 2 years of age.

As I was recuperating from the injuries I sustained from a car accident in March 2002, I could not go to the UK. The other girls were brought up by their mothers with Mr Mutwira chipping in with financial support especially for their education. I myself had 1 son before I married Mr Mutwira. We had a reasonably happy marriage until Mr Mutwira left our matrimonial home permanently in 1997 to go and live with Varaidzo’s mother, leaving me with Chido and Rujeko. After her A levels Chido left for the UK to pursue a nursing career. Her mother’s sister financially assisted this move. It was while she was doing her nursing program that she was diagnosed with brain cancer from which she died in July 2004. The long and short of this is that l am still legally married to Mr Roben Mutwira with all the legal implications of this position.

Mr Mutwra and were married under the then Chapter 37. Our house in Highlands Harare was jointly owned although Mr Mutwira left me to pay off the mortgage.

Mamelodi Sundowns Boss Motsepe Elected CAF President

Patrice Motsepe has been declared the new president of CAF at the elections held in Rabat, Morocco on Friday.

The Mamelodi Sundowns owner replaces fellow Southern African Ahmad Ahmad of Madagascar who failed to stand for a second term following a two-year FIFA ban for corruption.

He is officially elected the new boss of the African football after going into the polls uncontested following the withdrawal of Senegalese candidate Augustin Senghor last week in a deal brokered by FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

Ivorian Jacques Anouma also exited the race together with Mauritanian FA boss Ahmed Yahya.

“It’s a huge honour and privilege for me [to be Caf president],” Motsepe said after his election.

“Let me thank my brother [Fifa president] Gianni [Infantino] for the vision and encouragement of unity. We can only deal with the challenges of Africa and we will succeed, but we will only do so when we are united.

“The leadership we have in Africa [and] the leadership we have of football in every country gives me confidence and inspires me.

“I am absolutely confident that by working together, we will indeed succeed to make African football not just reach the summit but be amongst the best in the world.”

Senghor will serve as the first vice-president in the new set-up with Yahya coming in as the third-in-charge.

Motsepe’s appointment sees him as the first South African to be elected CAF president.- Soccer 24 Zimbabwe

God Is On Our Side- President Chamisa

Tinashe Sambiri|MDC Alliance leader, President Nelson Chamisa, who is a man of faith has pointed out that those who are guided by God Almighty will always emerge victorious.

President Chamisa used the biblical illustration of David and Saul to describe the political events in the country.

Saul, being tormented by an evil spirit, tried in vain to kill David. In the Bible God describes David as a man after His own heart.

“STRONGER EVERYDAY..”Now there was a long war between the house of SAUL and the house of DAVID.

But David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.” (2Sam 3:1) Blessed sabbath,” President Chamisa wrote on Twitter.

Zanu PF News Conference, A Desperate Attempt To Justify Killing, Torture Of Citizens- MDC Alliance

Tinashe Sambiri| Zanu PF is desperate to justify the killing and torture of innocent citizens, MDC Alliance Youth Assembly spokesperson, Stephen Sarkozy Chuma has said.

The clueless and cruel regime is afraid of President Chamisa’s rising influence, according to the MDC Alliance Youth Assembly.

On Friday, Zanu PF through its visibly jaded spokesperson, Simon Khaya Moyo feebly attempted to pour cold water on President Chamisa’s Agenda address.

In response, the MDC Alliance Youth Assembly accused Zanu PF of using the press conference to justify the persecution of human rights activists in the country.

Resistance To Abuse Of Our Rights Is Not Subversion, ZANU PF In Panic Mode

By Stephen Sarkozy Chuma

13-03-2021

ZANU PF is running scared and cannot fathom the idea of citizens converging for change.

In a hollow presser issued by the debilitating former revolutionary party through its mouthpiece, Simon Khaya Moyo, ZANU PF accuses the People’s President Advocate Nelson Chamisa and MDC Alliance of threatening “to unseat a constitutionally elected Government”.

Such lies and unsubstantiated falsehoods on the alternative People’s Government can not go unchallenged.

It is important to note that whenever ZANU PF make those subversion allegations, the intention is to sanitize their intended bloodbath on innocent citizens.

When a hyena wants to devour its own cubs it first accuses them of smelling like goats.

The last time ZANU PF made those serious allegations against the people, they went on a rampage killing innocent civilians in January 2019. Last year following the July 31 call for demonstrations, the same regime drew a long list of “enemies of the government” and went on to arbitrarily arrest and imprison citizens without trial.

Remember Simon Khaya Moyo!

This is the same man who once described Emmerson Mnangagwa live on national television as “incompetent and inconsistent”. Now the same Khaya Moyo wants citizens not to question this “incompetent” dictator.

Anything from ZANU PF through Khaya Moyo is deception, lies and pretense. This is a man who always indicate right and turn left.

When ZANU PF tells you that they respect multi party democracy yet they go on to take over our party headquarters and recall the people’s elected representatives, they are lying with a straight face.

What sort of multi party democracy is propagated and irrigated by wanton arrests of alternative voices and closure of democratic space.

What democracy does ZANU PF parrot about when innocent alternative voices like Makomborero Haruzivishe, Takudzwa Ngadziore, Cecilia Chimbiri, Joana Mamombe and many others are languishing in prisons for demanding their rights as citizens.

Resistance to Emmerson Mnangagwa’s abuse of power must never be mistaken as subversion.

Mnangagwa was not elected but was selected by the military through the gun so ZANU PF must spare us the ‘constitutionally elected’ nonsense.

While there is nothing positive to take home from ZANU PF’s hollow presser for the hungry and angry citizens, the response itself to the People’s #Agenda2021 is a clear indication that the message reached home.

Our message to the dictator is simple and clear. We can no longer tolerate the dehumanizing abuse we have endured for so long from this rogue regime.

The People’s #Agenda2021 and Citizens Convergence for Change will never be stopped by a failed ZANU PF’s sideshows.

Our grievances are very clear and genuine.

We are fed up with arbitrary arrests, imprisonment pre-trial, unchecked looting and corruption, state capture and abductions.

Defiance and resistance to ZANU PF abuse of power is our new normal.

COVID-19 Increases Women’s Exposure To Domestic Violence

Violence against women remains devastatingly pervasive and starts alarmingly young, shows new data from WHO and partners. Across their lifetime, 1 in 3 women, around 736 million, are subjected to physical or sexual violence by an intimate partner or sexual violence from a non-partner – a number that has remained largely unchanged over the past decade.

This violence starts early: 1 in 4 young women (aged 15-24 years) who have been in a relationship will have already experienced violence by an intimate partner by the time they reach their mid-twenties.

“Violence against women is endemic in every country and culture, causing harm to millions of women and their families, and has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General. “But unlike COVID-19, violence against women cannot be stopped with a vaccine. We can only fight it with deep-rooted and sustained efforts – by governments, communities and individuals – to change harmful attitudes, improve access to opportunities and services for women and girls, and foster healthy and mutually respectful relationships.”

Intimate partner violence is by far the most prevalent form of violence against women globally (affecting around 641 million). However, 6% of women globally report being sexually assaulted by someone other than their husband or partner. Given the high levels of stigma and under-reporting of sexual abuse, the true figure is likely to be significantly higher.

Emergencies exacerbate violence, increasing vulnerability and risks
This report presents data from the largest ever study of the prevalence of violence against women, conducted by WHO on behalf of a special working group of the United Nations. Based on data from 2000 to 2018, it updates previous estimates released in 2013.

While the numbers reveal already alarmingly high rates of violence against women and girls, they do not reflect the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

WHO and partners warn that the COVID-19 pandemic has further increased women’s exposure to violence, as a result of measures such as lockdowns and disruptions to vital support services.

“It’s deeply disturbing that this pervasive violence by men against women not only persists unchanged, but is at its worst for young women aged 15-24 who may also be young mothers. And that was the situation before the pandemic stay-at home orders. We know that the multiple impacts of COVID-19 have triggered a “shadow pandemic” of increased reported violence of all kinds against women and girls,” said UN Women Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka. “Every government should be taking strong, proactive steps to address this, and involving women in doing so”, she added.

Though many countries have seen increased reporting of intimate partner violence to helplines, police, health workers, teachers, and other service providers during lockdowns, the full impact of the pandemic on prevalence will only be established as surveys are resumed, the report notes.

Inequities are a leading risk factor for violence against women
Violence disproportionately affects women living in low- and lower-middle-income countries. An estimated 37% of women living in the poorest countries have experienced physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence in their life, with some of these countries having a prevalence as high as 1 in 2.

The regions of Oceania, Southern Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa have the highest prevalence rates of intimate partner violence among women aged 15-49, ranging from 33% – 51%. The lowest rates are found in Europe (16–23%), Central Asia (18%), Eastern Asia (20%) and South-Eastern Asia (21%).

Younger women are at highest risk for recent violence. Among those who have been in a relationship, the highest rates (16%) of intimate partner violence in the past 12 months occurred among young women aged between 15 and 24.

Violence against women must be prevented
Violence – in all its forms – can have an impact on a woman’s health and well-being throughout the rest of her life – even long after the violence may have ended. It is associated with increased risk of injuries, depression, anxiety disorders, unplanned pregnancies, sexually-transmitted infections including HIV and many other health problems. It has impacts on society as a whole and comes with tremendous costs, impacting national budgets and overall development.

Preventing violence requires addressing systemic economic and social inequalities, ensuring access to education and safe work, and changing discriminatory gender norms and institutions. Successful interventions also include strategies that ensure essential services are available and accessible to survivors, that support women’s organisations, challenge inequitable social norms, reform discriminatory laws and strengthen legal responses, among others.

“To address violence against women, there’s an urgent need to reduce stigma around this issue, train health professionals to interview survivors with compassion, and dismantle the foundations of gender inequality,” said Dr Claudia Garcia-Moreno of WHO. “Interventions with adolescents and young people to foster gender equality and gender-equitable attitudes are also vital.”

Countries should honour their commitments to increased and strong political will and leadership to tackle violence against women in all its forms, through:

Sound gender transformative policies, from policies around childcare to equal pay, and laws that support gender equality,
A strengthened health system response that ensures access to survivor-centred care and referral to other services as needed,
School and educational interventions to challenge discriminatory attitudes and beliefs, including comprehensive sexuality education,
Targeted investment in sustainable and effective evidence-based prevention strategies at local, national, regional and global levels, and
Strengthening data collection and investing in high quality surveys on violence against women and improving measurement of the different forms of violence experienced by women, including those who are most marginalized.-

Zanu PF Afraid Of The People’s Agenda – MDC Alliance

Tinashe Sambiri| The clueless Zanu PF regime is afraid of the people’s agenda, MDC Alliance has said.

Zanu PF spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo stunned all and sundry on Friday when he accused President Nelson Chamisa of inciting social unrest.

A perplexed Khaya Moyo even instructed the police to arrest President Chamisa.

Zanu PF has dismally failed to resolve the country’s deepening economic woes.

PG Told To Go Back To Law School

By A Correspondent- The glaring legal deficiencies in Prosecutor-General Kumbirai Hodzi, who was preferred for the job despite faring poorly in public interviews held in 2019, were exposed on Thursday when High Court judge Justice Tawanda Chitapi asked him to go back to the law school and familiarise himself with the country’s statutes after he spectacularly bungled a bail appeal in a high-profile robbery case.

Justice Chitapi said this while dismissing Hodzi’s appeal against bail granted to suspected notorious armed robber, Musa Taj Abdul, his accomplices Rudolph Tapiwa Kanhanga and Godfrey Mupamhanga. The trio was granted bail by High Court judge Benjamin Chikowero last December.

Justice Chitapi said he was taken aback by Hodzi’s failure to comprehend legal fundamentals when making an appeal.

He also said it had worryingly become the norm for officials at the National Prosecuting Authority to rush to courts armed with poor applications.

Justice Chitapi upheld Justice Chikowero’s ruling.

“The applicant is advised to familiarise his office with important judgments of this court and the Supreme Court on key operational areas of law like bail generally. I have no doubt that the applicant may well have been advised not to mount this unmeritorious application,” Justice Chitapi said.

“Having commented adversely on the ineptitude shown in the handling of this application, the comments being an aside, I determine that having taken account all the documents filed of record and heard counsel in argument, there is no merit in this application at all. Resultantly, the application is dismissed.

“It is important for purposes of this application that I comment that the above order was granted after the learned judge had read the documents filed of record and hearing counsel’s submissions, meaning that both the applicant’s counsel Mr Kasema and the respondent’s counsel Maheya addressed the learned judge on the parties positions in the matter.

“Ordinarily, once the court pronounces itself and passes judgment in a matter before it, the court, judge or magistrate who has made the order becomes functus officio (of no further legal effect).”

“The applicant has averred firstly that the issue of the prosecutor having to first obtain consent of his superiors is an administrative act which is part of internal operations within the applicant’s establishment, viz the National Prosecuting Authority. Section 269 (1) (a) of the Constitution provides that the applicant is independent and is not subject to the direction or control of anyone. Therefore, unless the administrative arrangements in that office become public law, the court will not pry into them,” he said.

During the 2019 selection process, Hodzi was handpicked for appointment by President Emmerson Mnangagwa despite having failed to score the required 70% mark. The top performers, Calvin Mantsebo, who topped the list and Tinomudaishe Chinyoka, who came second, were not considered as government settled for Hodzi who came a distant sixth in the interviews.

Gweru Provincial Hospital Upgrade Shelved

Government has ruled out the possibility of Gweru Provincial Hospital being upgraded to a central hospital anytime soon, saying it would have to undergo a massive facelift to qualify for the status.

The required upgrades include the construction of more theatre units and expansion of wards.

The 400-bed institution in November last year formally applied to the Health ministry to be upgraded to a central hospital following additions and improvements, including a fully-fledged renal and intensive care unit.

Most of the upgrades were done last year as the Health and Child Care ministry sought to use the provincial referral hospital as a COVID-19 centre.

Health and Child Care deputy minister John Mangwiro on Wednesday, however, ruled out the institution being turned into a central hospital saying the institution needed further upgrades.

He said there was need for construction of a theatre block with four theatres, 10-bed intensive care (ICU)unit, acquisition of a CT scan, laparoscopy and endoscopy equipment, among other requirements.

“We have a number of issues that need to be addressed before we accord it the status. The following are the problems that have been identified; Limited working space, especially theatres. Clinicians have to give each other operating schedules so that every speciality is accommodated in the two theatres,” Mangwiro told parliamentarians last week.

“Consultation rooms are limited such that issues of privacy and confidentiality are compromised due to the working space challenges. Three beds in ICU and four beds in the renal area are not able to cater for the growing number of patients,” he said.

“For ward space, currently in female surgical ward, we are mixing gynaecological with surgical patients, compromising infection. An increase in the number of medical personnel joining the institution has need for the expansion of accommodation for medical personnel within the institution.”

Mangwiro added that he would next week announce a timetable for the upgrading of the facility to attain central hospital status.

Meanwhile, the Health and Child Care ministry said the institution achieved a major feat when it performed a hip replacement surgery, a first of its kind to be performed at provincial hospital level.

The surgery was performed by orthopaedic surgeon Brian Paketh and his team with logistical support from medical superintendent Fabian Mashingaidze.-newsday

Robbers Dressed In Police Uniforms Nabbed

Western Cape police have arrested seven suspects linked to an  armed robbery in Stellenbosch.

According to provincial police spokesperson Brig Novela Potelwa, members of the flying squad responded to reports of a business robbery on Friday morning. Novela said the suspects fled in a vehicle after stealing cash and goods.

“In a shack in Mfuleni, flying squad police caught up with the seven suspects and arrested them,” said Potelwa. Some of the items recovered from armed robbery suspects.
Image: Supplied

“Detailed reports from the business robbery scene indicate that several suspects, some dressed in police uniform, entered a supermarket in Bird Street in Stellenbosch at about 8.45am on the pretext of searching  the business for drugs.

“When the owner became suspicious and demanded answers, the suspects allegedly assaulted the owners, threatened staff and made off with boxes of cigarettes as well as R90,000 in cash.”

Potelwa said the suspects drove at high speed towards Mfuleni, and flying squad members gave chase.

“Within a few hours they had apprehended seven suspects in a shack in Mfuleni. Cash, boxes of cigarettes and three firearms, one reportedly stolen in Claremont in 2018, were seized,” she said.

“The arrested suspects, aged between 30 and 59, will appear in court on Monday on charges of business robbery, illegal possession of firearms, ammunition and stolen property, as well as impersonating police officials.”

Acting provincial commissioner Maj-Gen Thembisile Patekile said: “If these criminals were not apprehended they would have committed more crimes. What follows is for police to ensure they face the full might of the law.

“Turn Police Training Depot Into Youth Vocational Training Centre”: Magwegwe MP

Magwegwe legislator Anele Ndebele has renewed calls for the closure of Ntabazinduna Police Training Depot in Umguza district, Matabeleland North province, saying it should be turned into a youth vocational training centre.

Chief Ndiweni once petitioned former Police Commissioner-General Augustine Chihuri in 2016 demanding the closure of the police training facility.

Chief Ndiweni argued the centre was not benefiting the community, saying locals were being sidelined in recruitments.

The centre used to offer vocational skills such as welding, carpentry and others before government turned it into a police training depot in 2006.

In his contribution in Parliament on Tuesday, Ndebele bemoaned the lack of a vocational training centre in Matabeleland North province.

“I am rising to bemoan and also to implore your office to request the vocational skills training at Ntabazinduna, the one that was taken away to train police officers, the one that currently lies as a white elephant, that it be given back to the Ministry of Youth so that our youth are able to access life skills at that vocational centre,”
he said.

“Whatever happened then seems to have happened at the highest political level and to disentangle it, we must operate it at that level. I implore your office (Speaker of the National Assembly, Jacob Mudenda) to appeal to the Executive to return the only vocational skills training centre for our youth back to the ministry because Matabeleland North (province) has no vocational skills training centre.”

Home Affairs Ministry Responds To Fake News On Makombe Passports Collection

13 MARCH 2021

STATEMENT BY THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS AND CULTURAL HERITAGE REGARDING THE FAKE NEWS ABOUT PASSPORTS COLLECTION AT MAKOMBE OFFICE

The attention of the Civil Registry Department and the Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage has been drawn to the fake news “advising” persons who applied for passports between 2019-February 2020, to collect their documents at Makombe Offices, from Monday, 15 March 2021.

The message originated from a fake Facebook page under the name Makombe Passport Office Official and was signed off by a Joshua Taderera purporting to be a “Passport Official”.

We dissociate ourselves from the fake Facebook page, its communication about passports collection and any of its individuals claiming to be acting on behalf of the Civil Registry Department.

This is not true and any information from the Facebook post is not authentic.

The Civil Registry Department is working round the clock to clear the passport backlog and any communication regarding the collection of passports by applicants will be communicated via official communication channels and through the Short Message Service (SMS) platform.

All collections will however be done in compliance with the relevant Covid-19 regulations.

We also take this opportunity to advise the nation that the Civil Registry Department does not charge any extra amount or solicit for any favours outside the stipulated statutory fees.

Any persons or agents canvassing for any “processing fees” via online platforms are doing so for their own criminal and corrupt gains.

We urge our citizens to rely on official sources of credible information and exercise caution before sharing unverified communication on social media platforms, which not only misleading but potentially prejudice citizens of their hard-earned cash.

ZANU PF AND MDC T Working In Cahoots To Discredit People’s #Agenda2021

13-03-2021

ZANU PF and MDC T Information Departments have forged a clandestine pact where the two exchange notes with the sole intention to discredit MDC Alliance and the People’s President Advocate Nelson Chamisa.

We have it on good authority that following President Chamisa’s on point #Agenda2021 address, MDC T Spokesman Witness Dube was tasked by his compatriots in ZANU PF Information Department to issue a statement with guided content attacking our leader.

It is no coincidence that the exact narrative, phrases and words used by both ZANU PF and its surrogate party, MDCT are exactly the same.

There was a collaboration by the two unpopular political outfits to use terms like “hollow”, “divisive” and “arrogant” in a veiled attack on the person of President Chamisa.

The plan is to misrepresent and repackage the People’s President, Advocate Chamisa to suit the ZANU PF agenda of plurality without diversity and dialogue.

The MDC T Information Department even went a notch up defending ZANU PF’s intended establishment of one party state by attacking through its deliberate misrepresentation of President Chamisa’s idea of Citizens Convergence as “one party state within opposition”.

The resemblance of the idea of unity narrative basing this on Chipinge issue by both parties exposes shocking underhand dealings between MDC T and ZANU PF in their ill fated plan to discredit the people’s movement.

Simply put the MDC T statement was a clear photocopy of the ZANU PF presser which only served to prove citizens’ long held view that the former is an appendage of the latter.

This is not the first time that the MDC T and ZANU PF adulterous affair is made a public wedding.

Remember the leaked Memory Mbondiya(MDC T) and Lilian Timveous (ZANU PF) audio where reference was made to behind the scenes talks not to have by elections were mooted.

ZANU PF and its extension, MDC T need to be reminded that Nelson Chamisa ceased to be an individual a long time ago.

He is now an emblem, an idea and icon that represents the wishes of long suffering citizens.

Any attack on his person is not enough to distract the people’s agenda.

We reiterate that resistance and resilience is our new normal as we pursue #Agenda2021.

ED Fingered As Force Behind Ex VP Mohadi’s Resignation

Kembo Mohadi

President Emmerson Mnangagwa is reportedly behind former Vice President Kembo Mohadi’s resignation because their families clashed over business interests in Beitbridge and in Penhalonga.

Sources privy to the developments told the publication that the families first clashed over the Dry Port that was being constructed by Mohadi in Beitbridge in 2019:

Mohadi two years ago set up a dry port project called Malindi Dry Port with some local business. He has vast tracts of land in Beitbridge. A fight subsequently erupted among the Malindi partners and as a result some of them pulled out to set up their own project.

They then invited some members of the Mnangagwa family, but Mohadi was unimpressed and upset by the move. He then protested to the Mnangagwas, who were themselves not happy with his bid to push them out of Beitbridge.

The dispute deteriorated as Mohadi insisted that the Mnangagwa family members should not come to Beitbridge to seize opportunities from him take bread from his mouth. That became a sore point between them.

He is aware of the real reasons why he was removed. Ask him, he will tell if you can convince him to talk.

Mohadi’s calls were reportedly monitored by the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) since 2019 and the purpose of that task was to use the recordings to remove him from power when or if it became necessary.

A source that spoke to The NewsHawks is quoted as saying:

Mohadi’s phone was being monitored since 2019 and all his business dealings and political interactions, as well as personal indiscretions were known. This was because he had clashed with the First Family over the establishment of a dry port in Beitbridge.

Mohadi has an interest in a cargo bonded warehouse facility at the border so he intended to expand his interests to dry port, but Mnangagwa’s sons also had theinterest in the same venture. He confronted the boys and that created serious problems.

Mohadi and Mnangagwa reportedly clashed over gold mining in Penhalonga too and Mohadi reportedly tried to resolve the issue amicably to no avail.

Mohadi resigned on 1 March 2021 after ZimLive unearthed his se_x scandal with different women but he insisted that he was a victim of voice clowning as he denied the scandals.

RG’s Office Clarifies On Passport Applications

By A Correspondent- The Registrar General’s (RG’s) Office in Bulawayo has said citizens who applied for passports before the end of February 2019 should collect their travelling documents as they are now ready.

This was confirmed by Bulawayo Provincial Registrar Jane Peters on Thursday. She said:

We now have passports for those people who applied for travel documents up to the end of February 2019.

Members of the public who applied for passports before the said period should come and collect their documents.

We are now having a filing challenge because of these uncollected passports.

Peters added that they were only attending to a limited number of people in line with the Government’s coronavirus containment measures. She said:

From the 4 to 18 January we already had bookings so within this period we are trying to clear those bookings before we could accept new people that are coming in.

At the moment we are dealing with external applications and we are handling a very limited number of applications.

The demand is high for our services but due to Covid-19 containment measures, we are constrained.

We can’t attend to all the people that need the service. We are attending to a specific number of applicants per day.

The Registrar General’s Office has been battling with a passport backlog that had reached 200 000.-statemedia

Latest On Tanzanian President John Magufuli

Tanzanian President John Magufuli is in the country and working hard in his office, his prime minister said on Friday, squashing rumours that he has contracted coronavirus.

Magufuli, 61, has not been seen in public since February 27 and has not spoken since the emergence of rumors on social networks announcing him to be seriously affected by Covid-19.

“I want to assure the Tanzanians that their president is fit and working hard as usual,” Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa said in a video recorded during Friday prayers in the Njombe (South) region.

“I even spoke with him this morning about my trip to Njombe and he told me to greet you for him. I spoke to him by phone in Dar es Salaam while I was in Dodoma,” he said.

The speech is the first to directly contradict the rumours.

Tanzania’s minister of constitutional and legal affairs threatened to prosecute anyone who relayed “inane” rumors about the president’s health, but stopped short of answering questions about his condition.

The main opposition party, Chadema, again demanded information on Magufuli’s whereabouts on Friday.

“We are forced to ask this given that the president appeared in public two weeks ago and no official statement has been released after the reports of his hospitalisation,” said Chadema secretary-general John Mnyika.

Magufuli’s main opponent in the October 2020 presidential election, Tundu Lissu, said on Twitter earlier this week the president had been evacuated to India for health reasons. Africanews could not verify his claims.

Magufuli has been playing down the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, claiming Tanzania had freed itself from the Covid” through prayer.

He also rejected any lockdowns or measures such as mask-wearing.

But he later admitted what he called a “respiratory disease” was still circulating.

Many Tanzanian officials have died in recent weeks, often without the cause of their death being specified.

Among them, the first vice-president of the semi-autonomous archipelago of Zanzibar, Seif Sharif Hamad, who died in mid-February. His party said he had contracted Covid-19.

Tanzania has not published data on coronavirus since April 2020.

What Next On Schools Opening As Govt, Civil Servants’ Salary Negotiations Ends In Stalemate?

By A Correspondent- Government and the civil servants’ negotiations ended in a stalemate following a virtual meeting held yesterday. Minister of Public Service Labour and Social Welfare Professor Paul Mavima confirmed yesterday’s meeting but said no agreement had been reached as yet.

“I can confirm that the NJNC met virtually today to find common ground on issues such as updates on Government Employees Mutual Savings (Gems) Fund and feedback on the cost-of-living adjustment. I cannot discuss what transpired exactly but no agreement was reached and the meeting had been adjourned to a later date so that the parties could consult their constituencies. A date for the next meeting will be advised but this is the first step towards finding each other,” he said.

Apex Council deputy secretary-general Mr Gibson Mushangu said Government had offered them a 25 percent salary increase, which they rejected.

“The Government’s offer does not even whisper to our demands which we have been tabling since we started negotiations post the dollarised era of October 2018. In today’s meeting, the Government tabled a 25 percent offer with effect from 1 April 2021 against the 151 percent offer accorded to other sectors,” he said.

Last year Government tasked the NJNC to come up with a roadmap leading to a salary structure for civil servants that will be equivalent to an average of US$550 that was being paid when civil servants were being paid in foreign currency.

MRP Leader Accuses State Security Agents Of Plotting To Kill Him

Defiant Mthwakazi Republic Party (MRP) leader Mqondisi Moyo has vowed he will not hand himself over to the police, insisting state security agents were ‘murderers’ plotting to assassinate him.

Police in Bulawayo are reportedly on a manhunt for Moyo after he led a group of party activists last Monday to intervene in farm ownership wrangle between white farmer Brian Davies and Floyd Ambrose in Ntabazinduna, Matabeleland North province.

Ambrose, the son-in-law of former Vice President Kembo Mohadi, continues to occupy Tabas Induna Farm defying a High Court order for him to vacate the property.

Davies then sought the assistance of Moyo and his supporters to remove Ambrose from the farm last Monday. On arrival at Tabs Induna Farm on the day, Ambrose and his workers were forced to flee into the bush and fire gunshots at the MRP activists.

However, following the dramatic incident, army and police officers in civilian clothing allegedly raided Moyo’s house in the wee hours of Wednesday in an attempt to arrest him.

The MRP leader was reportedly not around when the raid was conducted.

In retaliation to the raid, MRP activists Thursday stormed Bulawayo Central Police Station protesting over Moyo’s alleged harassment by state security agents. Nine MRP activists were arrested during the demonstrations and have since appeared in court and remanded in custody facing charges of public violence.

In an interview with NewZimbabwe.com from his hideout Friday, a defiant Moyo said he had no intention to surrender himself over to the police.

“I will not hand myself to the murderers for now because I have not committed any crime. I am beginning to defy the oppressor and its security state apparatus,” he said.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police have proved beyond reasonable doubt that they are part of Zanu-PF. On the morning of Wednesday, the 10th of March 2021 after 12am, heavily armed soldiers and police pounced on me and they were numbering between 10 and 12. It is clear that they wanted to and abduct and kill me,” claimed Moyo.

He said since he started political activism more than 10 years ago, he has cooperated well with the police on all the occasions he had been arrested.

“Actually, I have been arrested more than 17 times ever since I started my activism and I have never resisted arrest. Actually in many cases, I have handed myself over to the police, but this time I am convinced they want to kill me as I can no longer entrust my life with them.”

“I did not murder anyone, neither am I a rapist or a fugitive, and why would I be hunted by heavily armed forces?” rhetorically asked Moyo.

He claimed six members of his party were shot and injured by the police during the demonstrations at the police station.

“Six of my party members were shot and injured by overzealous police in front of the world and nine are languishing at Khami (Maximum Security) Prison since Thursday. Their sin being that they went to Bulawayo Central Police Station to inquire peacefully about my whereabouts,” said Moyo.

Mutinhiri Back At Zanu Pf

By A Correspondent- Former MDC Alliance top official Tracy Mutinhiri is set for a sensational return to Zanu-PF after handing in an application letter at the Mashonaland East provincial offices in Marondera declaring her intention to rejoin the ruling party.

This was revealed by the party’s provincial administration secretary Kudzai Majuru during a provincial co-ordinating committee (PCC) meeting held in Marondera on Saturday last week.

Mutinhiri, who joined the opposition party during the late Morgan Tsvangirai’s era after defecting from Zanu-PF, quit the MDC Alliance in February last year citing “personal reasons” after having held influential positions for four years.

“We received applications from people who want to rejoin the party. We have Tracy Mutinhiri and three others. As a province, we recommended that they be readmitted into the party, However, according to the (party) constitution, they will become ordinary card-carrying members. We await for approval from our party leadership on the way forward,” Majuru said.

The other two who have applied to be readmitted into the Zanu-PF party are Oswell Gwanzura from Goromonzi district and Joseph Kamwendo from Murewa.

Gwanzura was expelled after standing as an independent candidate during the 2018 elections as he protested against former Goromonzi South legislator Petronnela Kagonye’s alleged rigging of the party’s primaries, while Kamwendo had fallen out of favour with the late provincial chairmanship Joel Biggie Matiza.

Majuru added that Mutinhiri’s ex-husband and former minister Ambrose Mutinhiri had also applied to work with the Zanu-PF provincial team.

“We all know that Mutinhiri was welcomed back through our top leadership. He, however, applied to the province notifying us at provincial level so that we work together,” Majuru said.

Zanu-PF is currently luring expelled members and opposition party activists to join the party and beef up its support base ahead of the 2023 elections.

Recently, top MDC officials Lillian Timveos and Blessing Chebundo also defected to Zanu-PF.

Defence Minister To Foot Legal Costs For August 1 Shootings

By A Correspondent- High Court judge Justice David Mangota has ordered Defence minister Oppah Muchinguri to pay legal costs for lawyers representing three people who were injured during the August 1 2018 shootings.

The vicious military crackdown claimed six lives and left dozens others injured during protests over delayed presidential election results.

The Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum, which facilitated the legal representation, said the trio is seeking reparations for shock, pain and suffering instigated by the illegal actions of the soldiers.

“The three victims are lucky to be alive after they were shot in Harare’s CBD [central business district] when soldiers opened fire on members of the public as they attempted to disperse protesters who were demonstrating against a delay in releasing election results. The trio is seeking damages for shock, pain, and suffering caused by the unlawful actions of the soldiers,” the rights group said in a statement.

“Through her lawyer Gloria Dzitiro of Mutumbwa, Mugabe and Partner Legal Practitioners, the Defence minister had requested that the three matters, which they had erroneously set down, be removed from the court roll.”

“Advocate Wilbert Mandinde, who appeared with Mr Darlington Marange from Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum, argued that the error in prematurely setting the matters down deserved to be censured.”

“The government has claimed that it has fully complied with the [Kgalema] Motlanthe Commission recommendations. However, one of the three, Andy Manyeruke has since taken President Emmerson Mnangagwa to court seeking an order that the President fully complies with the recommendations as has been claimed.”

ZESA Officers Nabbed Over Abuse Of Office

By A Correspondent- Three Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution (ZETDC) senior managers from the southern region have been arrested for alleged criminal abuse of office as public officers. ZETDC is a subsidiary of Zesa.

The trio of ZETDC southern region manager, Engineer King Dube; finance manager Willard Kunaka and procurement officer Noel Manjoro were arrested by police working with the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission investigation team.

Dube, in his separate case, is accused of allegedly taking a ZETDC contract worker and using him at his house when he was not entitled to have a gardener – a development that saw the company being prejudiced of US$17 568,25.

In his second case, Dube, charged together with Kunaka and Manjoro, allegedly defrauded the company of US$62 635,97 by showing favour to one company which had not won a tender for a required job.

First to appear before Gweru provincial magistrate Mr Edwin Marecha facing criminal abuse of duty as a public officer was Dube. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was remanded out of custody on $20 000 bail to April 2 for trial. It is the State’s case that from January 2013 to February 2017, Dube allegedly took a ZETDC contract worker Andrew Homa to work as a gardener at his residence in Gweru.

Homa, the court heard, had signed a contract with ZETDC as a line worker and on ZETDC pay roll before being made to work as a gardener. During the period, Homa earned US$17 568, 25.

The court heard that Dube’s contract of employment did not allow him to have a domestic worker being paid by ZETDC, therefore, he unlawfully and intentionally did what was contrary to or inconsistent with his duty as a public officer by showing favour to himself.

Dube then appeared together with Kunaka and Manjoro before the same court where the trio faced one count of criminal abuse of duty as public officers. They all pleaded not guilty to the charge. Mr Marecha remanded them out of custody on $20 000 bail each to April 2 for trial.

It is the State’s case that on April 17, 2018, ZETDC allegedly intended to find a supplier to do supply and fitting of cabinets and partitioning of offices for general managers, human resources and administration manager, engineering manager and finance manager in Gweru.

The State heard that the nature of the job cost US$33 468 which exceeded the US$10 000 limit requiring to go through tender processes, a requirement under the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act.

Dube, Kunaka and Manjoro, allegedly acting in connivance, decided to split the job to avoid going to tender. On April 17, 2018, the accused persons allegedly divided the scope of work as follows, general manager’s office US$9 938, human resources and administration manager’s office US$6 710, engineering manager’s office US$9 999, finance manager’s office US$6 830.

The court heard that the split was allegedly done to ensure that each of the original orders were below US$10 000. The original orders were done on the same date and works were allegedly done on the same premises meaning the splitting was intentional.

Dube, Kunaka and Manjoro, the court heard then allegedly called for quotations from Ndaftech Investments (Pvt) Limited, Premcraft (Pvt) Limited, Herbets Construction (Pvt) Limited and Creative Systems (Pvt) Limited.

On all the four occasions, the court heard that Ndaftech (Pvt) Limited won using a low bid but ZEDTC went on to amend orders of additional services which exceeded the original value by 50 percent of the original amounts.

After the amendments, the court heard that the cumulative cost of all the jobs was US$62 635,97.

Dube, Kunaka and Manjoro’s responsibility was allegedly to make sure that proper procedures were followed before awarding a contract unlawfully and intentionally which was contrary or inconsistent with their duties as public officers by showing favour to Ndaftech Investments (Pvt) Limited.

Ms Wadzanayi Shayanewako appeared for the State in both matters.-statemedia

Mliswa Wants Anne Nhira Declared Provincial Heroine, Will Mnangagwa Do It?

By James Gwati- Norton MP, Temba Mliswa said just like what happened to the late Zimdance hall chanter, Soul Jah Love, President Emmerson Mnangagwa should declare the late former studio 263 actress, Anne Nhira a provincial heroine.

“Another sad loss to hit the arts and entertainment industry. My sincerest condolences to the family of the late Anne Nhira,” Mliswa said.

“In recognition of her contributions to the industry and March as Women’s month, isn’t she suitable to be made a provincial hero. I don’t dispute Soul Jah Love’s popularity and the mark he made; I enjoyed his music too, but I would want to know why the late Anne Nhira couldn’t be given provincial hero status and what the selection criteria are?” said Mliswa.

The former local soup actress died in South Africa early this week from injuries she sustained from an attack by robbers.

if Nhira is declared a provincial heroine all the funeral expenses would be borne by the state.

Bulawayo Mushikashika Police Clashes, Police Declare War Against Kombi drivers

By James Gwati- Police in Bulawayo has declared war against Mushikashika operators following the bashing of a team of traffic cops by kombi drivers early this week.

The war was declared by Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube who said they were now hunting for the kombi drivers who assaulted his collegues.

“This is not just an attack on police officers, but on the entire Zimbabwe Republic Police and Government. It’s a behaviour that will not be tolerated and it would be in the best interest of those involved to hand over themselves to the police before the long arm of the law catches up with them,” he said.

According to Inspector Ncube the beaten Police officers were conducting routine patrol at 6th Avenue extension where pirate kombis operate from.

“When kombi crews spotted our officers, they sped off resulting in one of the drivers hitting another vehicle,” he said.

“The driver of the kombi, which was hit, pursued the driver of the offending kombi as he drove along Herbert Chitepo Street, towards 1st Avenue. Police also chased after the same kombi and upon reaching 5th Avenue intersection, the kombi driver caused another accident leading to his arrest.”

Insp Ncube said the kombi drivers and touts immediately attacked police officers as they demanded the release of their colleague.

“That is when an unknown object was used to attack the police vehicle, smashing its window screen. This is a regrettable incident which is unexpected of Bulawayo residents,” he said.

Overzealous Traffic Police Bashed By Mushikashika Crew

By James Gwati-A team of overzealous traffic police was this week in Bulawayo central business district beaten up by angry Mushikashika operators.

The incident happened after the cops had intercepted a kombi that was involved in an accident while fleeing from being arrested by the same.

The angry kombi drivers ganged up with some people who were nearby and attacked traffic police officers before smashing the rear windscreen of their patrol vehicle.

Police in Harare and Bulawayo are playing cat and mouse game with kombis which have been banned from carrying the community public by the government.

You Are Spending Money Speaking To The West, Why Blame MDC: Mliswa

Norton legislator Temba Mliswa says Zanu PF should not blame the MDC for speaking with the west because it is also spending money doing the same.

Mliswa said Zimbabwe has all the resources it needs for development and does not need re-engagement.

Speaking in the National Assembly during debate on the motion on the enactment of the Patriotic Bill, the self-styled legislator said, “I repeat that Zimbabwe does not need any western allies. Zimbabwe needs to dig dip into its resources and curb corruption and we shall need no western ally.

“The very same Government today is re-engaging with the West, spending more money paying lobbyists for us to re-engage with the West yet sanctions are there. Different strokes for different folks.

“Why do we speak with a forked tongue then blame the opposition for speaking to the West, but you are in the same line marching to see who pleases the master? Zimbabwe does not need anybody.

“Zimbabwe needs itself to ensure that the resources in this country are managed in a manner that it goes to the people,” he said.

Mliswa added, “You might say what you want to say but Gaddafi was a good example with oil. He made sure that the people of Libya had something to eat. How many people in Marange today have enjoyed the diamond? How many people in Shurugwi where Honourable Mkaratigwa hails today have enjoyed the gold?

“How many people in Matabeleland have enjoyed what is there? Today, we also go on and suspend the Indigenisation and Empowerment Act which was the source of empowerment for every local.

“The Finance Bill comes on the background that when you move the Act, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) will come in. How much FDI has come in since you suspended that Act? Foreigners are doing what they want.

“The resources of this country belong to foreigners and not to the people of this country. The people of this country must be having those claims in their hands and negotiating with foreigners – even ugogo umaNcube, ugogo umaKhupe, ugogo Mpariwa, give her the claims.

“The people who are investing are not worried about her but the minerals but you would have empowered her. Why are we afraid of empowering our people? How many Members of Parliament (MPs) here in their constituencies has anything yet we spend money? To be able to get into power, you need money but when you are in power, you are seen here passing laws that reverse the gains of the struggle.

“The gains of the struggle were to ensure that we have economic emancipation but it is being reversed. The land reform is being reversed. We have got a government policy of 500 hectares per person – some of the whites are being exonerated because you believe they are productive. If we have been facing sanctions – that is why this patriotic Act is critical, how then can we talk about development yet you say sanctions are critical but you want to use sanctions when it is necessary? When it is about time you want to say no. There is no production from a farmer in this country that can happen without them being fully empowered, having access to finance which is five or ten years and also includes holiday, medical aid and whatever you want and then we pay it. How come we are now expected to perform better than the whites when they actually had this land more than we did and they had resources?

“We need to be able to speak the truth. The Patriotism Act is critical in the aspect that we are also conforming to certain issues which need to be addressed and so forth. We are MPs. I went to the Speaker the other day and said I am concerned – we do break the law as MPs but when we do not break the law you are arrested willy-nilly because you are outspoken. These are some of the issues which make people not give Zimbabwe money because they see how you are treating an Honourable MP – he is at the back of the truck and you are happy. What is the point of a diplomatic passport that I have?

“What does this passport mean when you are treated like a dog and at the end of the day you are acquitted? The Speaker is not consulted about MPs being arrested – not that you want to be defended; no – does the case stand the taste of time?

Civil Servants Reject Govt’s 25 Percent Salary Hike Offer

Government and the civil servants’ negotiations ended in a stalemate following a virtual meeting held yesterday.

Video Of Uebert Angel Openly Telling ChurchWomen: We Can Sleep With You Anytime.

By A Correspondent | ANALYSIS | The below is the video of the disgraced preacher Uebert Angel (real name Mudzanire) as he (using subtle metaphors) announced that both him and his colleague, ‘Apostle’ Tavonga Utabwashe, have power over female congregants’ flesh (privates) to sleep with them.

He said this as he taught women about a preacher remaining inside a female congregant’s body. He declared these statements, perceived by victims to be of a grooming nature, while appearing as if teaching the opposite- that is, warning women that they are in danger of being bedded by preachers.

But the statement, full transcript below, has metaphor repetitions that teach women to make themselves vulnerable in order to received from God, a victim narrated to ZimEye yesterday.

In the tutorial, the preacher says women must break their flesh in order to receive what he calls ‘anointing.’

This technique is usually used by skilled hypnotists and psychologists describe it in the following terms saying: Hypnotists use specific words and phrases to help people imagine possibilities.

The preacher has used this technique before while for instance being praised for staging miracles of miracle money and in the below video footage, his agent, the singer Mudiwa Hood (Mtandwa) is seen claiming there is a message from the South African Revenue service, canceling a tax bill, but a closer look at the message shows it is an sms authored by the phone’s owner himself, the male congregant. (See video). “Sars cancelled my debt,” the message states twice, and yet the crowd continues unaware they have been duped.

The text message Uebert Angel claims has come from the Revenue authority.

He made these statements in July 2013, and since that day scores of women have presented evidence they have been bedded by Uebert Angel. When he was engaged for a comment, Mr Mudzanire replied ZimEye, saying, “moral failure is not a crime… don’t cry more than the bereaved.”

TRANSCRIPT.

Uebert Angel: Also there is also the biggest problem with regards to opening your spirit; that’s why many men of god are impregnating children in the church that’s why many shepherds, are eating the sheep.

It is, it is, a spiritual thing.

Whilst we can teach our people not to just receive with the mind but to get it also in the spirit, for you to open your spirit, you have to open your flesh.

I have said a very big thing. The big, the doorway for you to open your spirit, you break your flesh.

Many people ask me the question, how do I release the anointing? Remember a human being is spirit soul and body you never start with the body, there is no scripture that says body, spirit, and soul, there is no scripture whatsoever. It starts with spirit, soul and body and many people confuse spirit and soul. They think it’s the same thing. Yet the Bible says the Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword, capable to separate the spirit from the soul, so if the word can separate the spirit from the soul it means that they are not one, they are two. Now but for me to be able to release the anointing inside it, is caged. That’s why the Bible says we have this treasure in earthen vessels.

So the flesh, if I manage to break it, I expose the anointing. When we wave our hand, that that is not releasing the anointing. When we say ‘take it’ that’s not releasing the anointing. It is directing the anointing.

Releasing the anointing is breaking your flesh removing your coat. Let’s say my t-shirt inside is the anointing, for me to expose it I remove this shirt. So you remove the flesh in order to expose the spirit.

Now that means that when the minister of God is standing here, if I speak a word to you right now now and you are mature, you open your flesh first. But after service, close your flesh, because I can take you to the back door of the office because your flesh is still open, then I sleep with you. You see, I can see you have not heard it. That’s why it’s very easy for a prophet, a pastor, an evangelist, to take a congregant who is very mature, and you hear that she was impregnated by the prophet, why? Because their flesh remained open, when we finished the church service.

Their flesh was supposed to be open – only to accept the word, not to accept the flesh of the man of God. Only that.

Uebert Angel: What congregants and the people of God do not know is right now whilst we are here in this service right now, for you to receive you have opened your flesh already, you have surrendered your flesh to us, that’s it!

Uebert Angel: You have surrendered your flesh to us right now, so we can sleep with you anytime, I’m telling you the truth now, especially the mature ones, are the ones who are impregnated.

Butabwashe:Yeah.

Uebert Angel: Cause they have opened their flesh,

Butabwashe: They release themselves.

Uebert Angel: Yes, because they want to receive. For the anointing to touch somebody that person has to release the flesh.

Butabwashe: If the flesh is not released the anointing cannot have access.

Uebert Angel: It can’t have access. But if you don’t close your flesh when you go out, the man of God remains in the flesh, he will do what? He can take advantage of you, because your flesh is open.

Butabwashe: Yeah. – ZIMEYE.COM

Criticism Inspires Me To Provide Leadership, Says Chamisa

MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa says criticism from different quotas inspires him to provide leadership in Zimbabwe’s fight for political and economic emancipation.

He made the remarks while speaking at the Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition (CiCZ) press conference to remember the Save Zimbabwe Campaign prayer meeting that was heavily crushed by the police on 11 March 2007.

“Some are saying Chamisa is silent and some say Chamisa makes a lot of noise in Zanu PF depending where you are and I can understand because it’s also a source of inspiration because I realize that people have hope and they want us to do something and say something more and we will provide that.

“The greatest mistake any leader can ever make is to assume that the leader is the struggle and is to assume that the leader is the alpha and omega of what the people must do, let us take back the struggle to where it belongs in the hands of the people.

“The country we want to see is in our hearts and in our heads, we can only unleash it for our future generations and for ourselves when we begin to all act not as politicians not as trade unions, churches but as citizens but the bottom line is for us to go back to our common denominator that which unites us which is Zimbabwean,” said Chamisa.

Meanwhile, the MDC Alliance leader claimed he had reached out to President Emmerson Mnangagwa through letters and emissaries for dialogue but the latter has snubbed him.

“I have written so many letters to Mnangagwa, I have sent emissaries to Mnangagwa to say come let us reason together this problem of Zimbabwe is too big for you, you are incapable of solving it alone, it takes two to tango come let’s look at the problem together but he does not listen. He has refused to listen, he has refused to understand where we are coming from.

“You can’t say the country is normal when Makomborero is in jail, when the student leaders are in jail, when Hopewell Chin’ono has charges, when senior political leaders in the MDC Alliance have charges and when workers have charges that cannot be normal. You cannot be the only one who is normal when everyone is wrong, that is what has to be corrected but it starts with understanding that something is fundamentally broken and it needs to be fixed and can only be fixed by all of us,” he said.

Dynamos Executive Meets ED, Auxillia At State House

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has followed up his recent meeting with Highlanders Football Club executive with another against rival Dynamos FC.

Presidential spokesperson George Charamba through his Jamwanda2 Twitter account posted about the meeting saying the meeting was part of Mnangagwa’s support to the most followed sport which has not been active since COVID-19 started.

“This morning His Excellency the President, Cde E.D. Mnangagwa met the Executive of Dynamos Football Club as part of his support for the national sport which has been frozen by COVID-19 pandemic.

“This inactivity has created financial challenges for most Clubs in the country, motivating the President to take a keen interest in their fate and how it can be improved. Football remains the leading sport in the country.

“The Club gave the President its iconic jersey bearing his initials. A few weeks back, His Excellency the President met with the hierarchy of Highlanders Football Club to listen to challenges they face in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic which has stymied contact sporting activities worldwide.

“Two key faces in Dynamos FC are former Minister of Information and Publicity, Hon Webster Shamu, and Cde Marechera, both war veterans. Cde Marechera who appears in the accompanying picture with Dynamos Chairman, participated in historic Zanla attack on Grand Reef Airbase, a mission which was led by late Paradzayi Zimondi, Augustine Chihuri,” said Jamwanda.

Woman Sues Maid For Snatching Hubby

A Bulawayo woman is suing her former maid after she had an affair with her husband and she is demanding $2500 as compensation for impairing her dignity, B Metro reports.

Abigirl Ncube (Nee Mpofu) approached the Bulawayo civil court suing Nothando Sibindi for having an adulterous affair with her husband, Erick Ncube and siring a child in their relationship which reportedly started in 2017 when Sibindi was the couple’s maid.

In the court papers seen by the publication, Ncube also claimed Sibindi is running a flea market after getting financial assistance from her husband:

The plaintiff is married to Erick Ncube under a monogamous marriage in terms of the Marriage Act Chapter 5:11 which was entered in 2015. Ever since the period beginning 2017 the defendant has illicitly associated and engaged with the plaintiff’s husband in adulterous sexual relationship well knowing the marital status of the plaintiff’s husband.

One child has been born out of the illicit and adulterous relationship between the defendant and the plaintiff. This is despite several pleas from the plaintiff directed at the defendant to end her adulterous affair with the plaintiff’s husband, defendant is still continuing with the affair.

This after she had promised to end the affair in 2019. Plaintiff has been seriously hurt and her dignity impaired by the flagrant adultery and lack of remorse exhibited by the defendant.

…An order for the payment in the sum of US$2 500 being damages for loss of consortium, society, love, companionship and association her spouse was providing before the defendant’s unlawful malicious and illicit association with the plaintiff’s husband well knowing his marital status.

Tanzania President Who Claimed His Country Had Won War Against Covid-19 Battles For Life In India

Tanzania’s main opposition leader has said President John Magufuli, an avowed coronavirus sceptic out of public view for nearly two weeks, is in India receiving medical treatment for COVID-19 and is in a serious condition.

Tundu Lissu, who lost last year’s election to Magufuli, on Thursday cited medical and security sources in Kenya for his information that the president had been transferred from a hospital in Kenya to India and was in a coma – but did not provide evidence.

Tanzanian government spokesmen have stayed mum during days of speculation over the 61-year-old Magufuli’s whereabouts and health.

In power since 2015 and nicknamed “The Bulldozer”, Magufuli was last seen on February 27 looking his normal robust self during a ceremony at State House in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania’s largest city.

Lissu told the news agency Reuters that Magufuli was flown to Kenya’s Nairobi Hospital at the start of this week and then on to an unknown destination in India. “He’s comatose since yesterday morning,” he said, without elaborating.

Kenya’s Nation newspaper cited unidentified political and diplomatic sources on Wednesday saying that an African leader, which it did not name, was being treated for COVID-19 on a ventilator at a Nairobi hospital.

India’s foreign ministry and its high commission in Nairobi had no immediate comment.

‘COVID denialism in tatters’

Magufuli has played down the threat from COVID-19, saying God and remedies such as steam inhalation would protect Tanzanians. He has mocked coronavirus tests, denounced vaccines as part of a Western conspiracy to take Africa’s wealth, and opposed mask-wearing and social distancing.

“His COVID denialism in tatters, his prayer-over-science folly has turned into a deadly boomerang,” Lissu tweeted in the early hours of Thursday.

According to Tanzania’s constitution, Vice President Samia Suluhu Hassan would take over for the rest of the five-year term if the president is unable to discharge duties.

World Health Organization’s Africa director, Matshidiso Moeti, told a news conference on Thursday that she had no direct information on Magufuli’s health and it would be unwise to speculate. She noted that Tanzania now recognised the danger of COVID-19 following two senior officials’ death and said more data would be welcome.

“Whatever is the case with President Magufuli, we can only wish him well if these stories are indeed true, and we very much reiterate our preparedness to support the government and the people of Tanzania,” she said.

Tanzania stopped reporting coronavirus data in May last year when it said it had 509 cases and 21 deaths, according to data held at the WHO. In January, Magufuli said vaccines for the disease were “dangerous”.

“Vaccines are not good. If they were, then the white man would have brought vaccines for HIV/AIDS,” he said earlier this year.

However, in February in a surprise change in the official stance on coronavirus, Magufuli said the government had not forbidden the wearing of masks and encouraged those who wanted to do so.

However, he warned against what he claimed were faulty face coverings on sale in the country, suggesting that high coronavirus-related death rates worldwide could be linked to the uptake of such products and claiming those in Tanzania’s rural areas were less likely to fall victim to the virus because they tended not to wear them.

“The government has not forbidden mask-wearing. But we have to be careful about which masks we wear. We will perish. Don’t think we’re loved so much. Economic war is bad,” Magufuli told a congregation at a church service in Dar-es-Salaam.

Woman Teams Up With Son To Kill Own Child

A woman teamed up with her son and killed her child whom she accused of being violent, abusive and a drug addict, then buried the body in a shallow grave in Borrowdale.

The alleged crime only came to light when the brother who allegedly pulled the trigger started hallucinating after being involved in an accident.

Tracy Samantha Carr, believed to be an owner of Lewisam Motors in Harare, allegedly teamed up with her son, Norman Tyron, and killed her other son, Dylyn Michael Carr.

When the two appeared at the Harare Magistrates Court yesterday for initial remand on murder charges, prosecutor Mr Lancelot Mutsokoti alleged that in January the two decided to kill Dylyn.

It is alleged that Samantha then gave Norman a pistol and that he fired the fatal shot.

The two then allegedly dug a shallow grave behind the garage of their Borrowdale home and buried him.

The court heard that Samantha went on to hide the pistol at Lewisan Motors.

But then Norman was involved in an accident and admitted to hospital, where he allegedly started hallucinating and revealing the murder in front of hospital staff.- The Herald

Zanu PF Sweats Over Chamisa’s 2021 Agenda

Tinashe Sambiri|Zanu PF heavyweights are sweating over the impact of President Nelson Chamisa’s Agenda 2021 address.

In his Agenda 2021 address on Tuesday, President Chamisa exposed Zanu PF’s failure to revive the country’s economy. He also pointed out that the MDC Alliance would not be forced by anyone to endorse Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Illegitimate administration.

On Friday, Zanu PF through its spokesperson, Simon Khaya -Moyo attempted to pour cold water on President Chamisa’s Agenda 2021 address.

Khaya-Moyo shocked all and sundry when he accused President Chamisa of inciting social unrest.

“We are ready to deal with attempts to cause social disharmony. We view the address as a clear attempt to incite civil unrest and violence,” claimed Khaya- Moyo.

Political analysts argue Mr Mnangagwa’s Zanu PF party is desperate to dismantle the MDC Alliance and Khaya Moyo ‘s has literally confirmed the former revolutionary party is in panic mode.

Confirmed: Billiat Out Of AFCON Qualifiers

KHAMA BILLIAT is the latest member of the influential group of Warriors to pull out of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Botswana and Zambia later this month.

The Kaizer Chiefs forward has failed to recover in time, to be drafted for national duty, even though he was named in the bloated squad for the training camp.

It’s the latest major setback to hit the Warriors’ bid to qualify for the Nations Cup finals set for Cameroon next January.

Zdravko Logarusic men need to win either one, or both, of their final two matches, against their two neighbours, to qualify for their third straight AFCON finals.

The Warriors have never qualified for the tournament, three times in a row, although the decision by CAF, to have a 24-team tourney, means the current crop have better chances, of playing at the showcase, compared to those who came before them.

The first 24-team Nations Cup finals was held in Egypt two years ago where the Warriors, plagued by a number of in-house disruptions, crashed out after fining bottom of their group.

A point against Uganda, in the second match, with Billiat scoring their goal, was the only time they picked something, from that campaign, with defeats coming at the hands of Egypt and the DRC.

Now, Billiat, has been ruled out of the final two qualifiers set for this month.

Zimbabwe take on Botswana, away on March 25, before hosting Zambia, at the National Sports Stadium, four days later.

Already Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba is out of the crucial ties.- The Herald

South African Taxi Operators Blocks Traffic To Force Zim Govt To Open Beitbridge Border

South African taxi operators have blocked traffic at their component of the Beitbridge Border Post in protest of Zimbabwe’s delay in opening its land borders.

A source from South Africa said scores of taxi owners have parked their vehicles between the border entrance and the Shell filling station, blocking all outgoing and incoming traffic in that country.

The official said the protesters were claiming that the state of affairs was affecting their revenue inflows since few people are currently using their services.

“They are saying the rigid trucks (light commercial) and other Zimbabwean registered vehicles must not be allowed entry into that country until Zimbabwe fully reopens its borders.

” In addition, they are demanding that the cross border transporters known as Omalaitsha be allowed to transport goods into Zimbabwe,” said the source.

Another border official said the gates to the South African side had been closed to avoid a spillover of the protesters into the border.

US$17 568,25 ZESA Money Disappears

Three Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution (ZETDC) senior managers from the southern region have been arrested for alleged criminal abuse of office as public officers.

ZETDC is a subsidiary of Zesa. he trio of ZETDC southern region manager, Engineer King Dube; finance manager Willard Kunaka and procurement officer Noel Manjoro were arrested by police working with the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission investigation team.

Dube, in his separate case, is accused of allegedly taking a ZETDC contract worker and using him at his house when he was not entitled to have a gardener — a development that saw the company being prejudiced of US$17 568,25.

Ms Wadzanayi Shayanewako appeared for the State in both matters. -Chronicle

Profile Of Zim’s First Woman In The ZDF To Lead Military Formation

HER great-great-grandfather was part of King Lobengula’s revered Imbizo Regiment which was known for being fearless and participated in the Gadade Battle in Ntabazinduna before defeating the Allan Wilson Patrol in Pupu, Lupane.

Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) Headquarters Bulawayo District Commander, Colonel Ossie Oli Mhandu (61), who is based at Imbizo Barracks is the first woman in the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) to lead a military formation.

She was born Ossie Ngwenya in Godlwayo, Filabusi in 1960.

A widow and mother of seven, she was elevated to become a commander in 2018, having been in the ZNA since December 1, 1980.

She is a veteran of the liberation struggle who was married to a decorated soldier, Retired Brigadier-General Kimmy Mhandu, who passed on in 2016. Col Mhandu believes that her rise in the military is directly connected to her forefather’s military background.

At 17, she was already a military instructor during the war of independence while in Zambia.

Col Mhandu survived the Mkushi Camp massacre after the Ian Smith regime bombed the Zimbabwe People’s Revolutionary Army (Zipra) female camp, where about 500 youthful freedom fighters perished. A Chronicle news crew yesterday caught up with Col Mhandu at Imbizo Barracks where she took the crew through her life journey and historic rise in a male-dominated field.

She narrated how she was recruited into joining the war by Umzingwane MP, Retired Brigadier-General Levi Mayihlome when she was just a Form Three pupil at Ihlathi Secondary School in Sizinda, Bulawayo in 1977. She left a note under a pillow alerting her sister that she was joining the war.

Colonel Ossie Oli Mhandu The commander said had she told her sister about her plans face-to-face, she was going to be blocked as she was still a child. Her sister, who was in her 30s, was her guardian as both her parents had died.

Col Mhandu, was born in Filabusi and did her primary education at Mbawulo Primary School in the same area, before moving to Bulawayo in 1975.

In Zambia she ended up rising to become a camp instructor and then became a commander with the rank of a deputy brigadier. In some pictures taken during the liberation struggle, she can be seen with the likes of Retired Colonel Tshinga Dube, whom she described as a close friend.

“To tell you about my journey to the struggle I have to take you back so that you can appreciate my background. The reason I’m here, I feel could be connected to my great great grandfather. My great grandfather was Maphongwana, he was an Imbizo Regiment warrior fighting under King Mzilikazi and served under King Lobengula as well. He is part of the warriors that fought the Gadade Battle. He led Yingena troops under the Imbizo Regiment. I believe this background led me to join the liberation struggle,” said Col Mhandu.

She said after joining the liberation struggle in May 9, 1977, she trained for six months and the journey has been long: surviving the war, being attested into the ZNA in 1980 and rising through the ranks to her current post.

“My appointment is historic in the sense that I’m the first female commander to lead a formation in the Zimbabwe Defence Forces. I’m paving a way for others to follow suit. Some say I’m the first in Africa but I’m not sure if I’m the first in Africa. What I know is that I’m the first female commander to command a formation here in Zimbabwe,” she said.

She said her elevation confirms that ZNA recognises and respects gender equality. Col Mhandu said while her promotion is historic, it is a result of discipline, loyalty and determination in the military and for any soldier to rise, they need to have those qualities. She said in 1997 she was the first woman in the military to be promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer Class 1 and has been rising ever since.

She said, however, as a female commander she has to be firmer as some men do not believe that a woman can lead.

“Men in general don’t want to accept that women can command in the military. They don’t want to be commanded by a woman but as a woman you have to be bold. Even in making decisions, you have to be firm, there is no time of being apologetic when you take a decision; stand by it and they will respect you for that. So, I don’t have a challenge with my soldiers, not even with my commanders because they know that I can work without an incident,” she said.

“No one can come and try to challenge me and if someone tries use his masculinity, if I suspect that you are trying to disrespect me you will be in for it. If you make a slight mistake, ngiyakijampisa kuphela so that you realise that I am a commander and something of similar nature does not happen again. Because if you show weakness, they can easily try to take advantage.”

Col Mhandu said the Mkushi Camp bombing has shaped who she is and her promotion in the military is linked to how she emerged during the war.

“That bombing made me to be fearless and being fearless is what has led me to rise to the position that I’m holding today in the ZNA, to be very strong soldier. A man cannot simply challenge me because I can tell some of them that they don’t have the stamina, they have not experienced what I have gone through,” she said as she briefly giggled.

Col Mhandu said she lost two of her best friends during the Mkushi attack, stating that it was only through God’s grace that she survived.

“God intervenes when He wants you to survive. It was a sudden attack and in such an attack you just see yourself having survived. So, I just used tactics but most people died during that attack. A sudden attack is difficult to prepare even though we were on high alert as we had already learnt that Freedom Camp had been bombed,” said Col Mhandu.

“So, we were just on standby but we not expecting it, we just thought who would bomb a women’s camp leaving men. So, being vigilant helps; that is what helped most of us during that attack. Most of the recruits died during the attack as they entered pits that we had dug. There was the next camp which had trained cadres, so the helicopters were hitting our camp before hitting another camp which was just a kilometre away. Most of the cadres drowned as they tried to escape by plunging into a river.”

She said after coming back home, she was married just after independence. As a parting shot, Col Mhandu encouraged women to aim higher saying it was possible to have a female general, especially if men are supportive.

“It’s very possible to have a female commander, because if I was younger, I would have aimed to get there but I’m towards retirement where we have to leave some of these positions for younger generations. I want to encourage other females in Africa and the world at large not to look down upon themselves. There is much need for females to aim high and display their capabilities as I have done. I have tried and I hope there can copy from what I’ve done; maybe it can assist them. They need to have role models to look up to, I also had them,” said Col Mhandu.-state media

Goat Meat Thieves Caught Braaing

TWO Gimboki, Mutare goat thieves received a thorough hiding last week on Friday night when they were caught partying and braaing goat meat shortly after a goat had been reported stolen in Dora Pindo.

Gimboki residents had to be restrained by the police as they assaulted Langton and Nyasha Mapanga.

While some shouted profanities at the two, some claimed that the pair should be thoroughly dealt with as they were a menace to the society. After being rescued from the mob by the police, the duo had to spend the night in police cells at Dangamvura Police Station.

The owner of the goat, Manyara Musiwacho, had tracked the goat from Chisamba Village in Dora to Langton’s residence in Gimboki, where the thieves were found braaing the liver and partying with friends at around 2am.

Musiwacho approached Langton and then alerted his neighbours.

The people came out in their numbers to discipline the duo.

“Langton is my neighbour in Dora and I had talked with him that night. When I got home, my wife told me that the goats were making weird sounds and when I went into their pen to check, I discovered that one was missing. That was around midnight.

“I went to Langton’s homestead to enquire from him, but he was not there. I decided to make a follow-up to Gimboki and that is when I found him partying with his friends. Everyone there admitted that they were braaing goat meat,” said Musiwacho.

Langton and Nyasha have since appeared before Mutare magistrate, Ms Tamara Chibindi, facing livestock theft charges.

They were convicted on their own guilty plea and were remanded to a later date to allow the State to check on their previous convictions.

MDC Alliance Youth Assembly Pays Tribute To Anne Nhira

Masvingo MDC A Youth Assembly mourns former studio 263 actress and model Anne Nhira ‘Vimbai’.

Zim Arts Industry full of talent but lacks government support.

As the MDC A youths we are deeply hurt by the passing on of Zimbabwe’s greatest talent in the mould of Anne Nhira. As MDCA youth we believe that the future lies in the hands of the young people across all sectors be it arts, sporting or leadership. It is therefore a difficult moment when one of such potential people dies.

We send our condolence to Anne Nhira’s family , friends and Zimbabwe as whole on such a sad loss. It has been a dark and unfortunate year for our country following the passing on of high profile like Soul Jah Love, Genius Ginimbi Kadungure among others. Time is never enough however we put all to the Almighty God.

The circumstances behind the death are so painful. Rogue behaviour and crime is rising across Africa and something has to be done to curb this. It is again the victims ‘Artists’ whom we expect to nature the behaviour of young unemployed youths from drugs and crime. *Hats off to Ziya arts group”Sabhuku Vharazipi” in our own Masvingo area for defieng a odds of earning little than you deserve but you continue to educate ` In this Covid 19 era, awareness campaigns have been a success through actors ,models and musicians.

Popularly known as ‘Vimbai’ Anne Nhira became popular on The TV series Studio 263. She was also into music and featured in Cde Nduna song kuenda mberi.

Unlike in Nigeria where the Nollyhood actors are one of the most earning artists, Zim artists have left the industry with less or none deserving wealthy or worthwhile proceeds. A lot has to be done by the government to uplift the arts industry since it is vital in shaping up societies.

In South Africa as well the industry also pays better but it remains a nightmare to Zim artists who have benefited less from government suport except after death hounors of heroes status the case of Tuku and Soul Ja love not mentioning Gringo and others. The regime does not have its citizens at heart instead only sectors like mining where politicians are major actors benefit from the government.

The weaker or bad part rather of the government is when they even persecute artists who expose corruption or air their views concerning governance , the case of comedian Gonyeti not foggetting the subotaging of Hosiah Chipanga and Winky D’s songs by State TV and Radio stations for political reasons better known to the propagandist Arts and culture ministry.

As an alternative government, the MDCA has it on record on its SMART policy on the need to improve on technological advancement to suit internation standards in as much as production is concerned be it filming or recording.

A number of misgoverned or mismanaged sectors habours the upliftment of the arts industry in Zimbabwe eg poor Electricity, lack of capital, oppressive media laws just to mention but a few. Advocate Chamisa had the answers to the Arts Industry problems through his expertise in ICT. Zimbabwean Arts Industry should know that Advocate Chamisa and MDCA are determined for a tolerant , uniting and supportive ministry in Arts and Culture and Media.

Full Text: WHO Statement On Violence Against Women

Will Learners Cope With Tight School Calendar?

The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has released a statement clarifying the issue of the 2021 school calendar after it had been speculated that the Association of Trust Schools’ (ATS) has its own 2021 school calendar. We present the statement in full below.

It has come to the attention of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education that there are claims that the Association of Trust Schools’ (ATS) has its own 2021 school calendar.

The Ministry takes this opportunity to advise its valued learners, parents, guardians, teachers and other stakeholders that in terms of the Education (Non-Government Schools) Regulations of 2005, Section 9 (1): “The Secretary shall prepare an annual school calendar to determine the days during each term when pupils shall be required to attend school for instruction,”

The regulations further state in Section 9 (3): “In special circumstances, the Secretary…may permit a school to open or close, or both, on dates other than those specified by the school calendar for any term.”

The Secretary has published the revised 2021 school calendar and has not allowed any school to deviate from it. All schools are, therefore, expected to adhere to the 2021 school calendar announced by Government.

For ease of reference, pursuant to a Cabinet decision announced on 2 March 2021, all schools will open on 15 March 2021 for examination classes and open on 22 March 2021 for non-examination classes. The first term will run until 4 June 2021 and the second term will begin on 28 June 2021 and close on 10 September 2021 while the third term will begin on 4 October 2021 through to 17 December 2021.

All well-meaning public and private schools, including ATS schools, should therefore abide by the Ministry’s 2021 school calendar. Any deviation from the above school calendar announced will attract censorship with the sternest penalty being deregistration of the deviant school.

Responsible authorities of schools are also advised to be guided by the set down Ministry procedures on the collection of school fees.
The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education maintains all authority in the governance of the education system in Zimbabwe as it remains committed to provide equitable, quality, inclusive, relevant and competence-driven Primary, Secondary and Non-formal education at all times.

The Ministry reinforces the wearing of face masks, physical distancing as well as handwashing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in all school centres as preparations continue for the safe opening of schools and the accelerated implementation of t ching and learning activities.

Is Mnangagwa Trying To Calm-Down Gukurahundi Memories By Meeting D-Mbare & Highlanders?

By James Gwati-Last month when he was in Bulawayo, President Emmerson Mnangagwa summoned the leadership of Highlanders and today in the capital, he had a meeting with Dynamos Football club’s executives.

In the country’s political history, Dynamos represents the Shona tribe and the late President Robert Mugabe’s ZANU party while Highlanders stands for the Ndebeles and the original ZAPU which was fronted by the late Vice President Joshua Nkomo, before the 1987 unity accord.

Just like what happened during the early 1980’s Gukurahundi, whenever the two rival teams meet the match does not end in harmony as there is always violence.

To these two teams when they see each other they see a political rivalry between the Shanas and Ndebeles.

Chimanimani Human Milk-Fed Snake – Prophet Fails To Capture The Miraculous Reptile

By James Gwati-A Chimanimani prophet, has failed to capture a snake which is being used by two elderly women in suspected witchcraft activities.

One of the two elderly friends – Gogo Savie Nenohwe and Gogo Ethel Sithole was spotted by a 12-year-old girl breastfeeding a snake while uttering names of fellow villagers whom she wanted the reptile to deal with.

The girl reported the case to Chief Mutambara who then requested a local prophet to capture the snake.

Madzimai Mukono, on Monday, visited Gogo Sithole’s residents on a mission to capture the snake but could not make it.

“We went to Gogo Sithole’s homestead to capture the snake on Monday but failed to do so as a multitude had gathered to witness the drama. We will go back later this week and we hope to succeed in our mission.
“After capturing the snake, we will bring it to the chief’s court,” said Madzimai Mukono.

Horror As Mukorokoza Cuts Prophet’s Manhood After Catching Him Having S*x With Wife

NO good has ever come out of bedding a married woman and even if you are a man of God, the Lord will not protect you from a raging jilted husband.

We are reminded of these words by a horrendous incident which happened in Zananda Village under Chief Nhema’s area in Shurugwi, Midlands province where a prophet is feared to have suffered impotence after his manhood was sliced with a piece of a broken beer bottle by a gold panner who had caught him having sex with his wife in their matrimonial bedroom.

Richard Mbaya, popularly known as Madzibaba Richy, will live to rue the day Sunday Madamba busted him bedding his wife, Waraidzo Mapuranga.

It is reported that Madamba was enraged when he unexpectedly came home to find his wife canoodling in bed with Madzibaba Richy.

According to a source from the area, Mapuranga was frequenting prayers and fellowships at Madzibaba Richy’s church until she became so close to the “Man of God”.

It is alleged that Madamba, who was also suspecting his wife of cheating on him, had his suspicions confirmed when he came home unexpected.

Upon arrival he couldn’t believe his ears when he heard his wife groaning in pleasure while enjoying the prophet’s one-eyed monster.

Boiling with anger, he forced open the door and found the two giving each other the time of their lives. Madamba short-circuited the two lovebirds’ intimate act when he started assaulting them.

“He first threw several punches to his wife and intensified his assaults with booted feet before he turned to Madzibaba Richy. He violently pulled him and kicked him all over the body before he struck him several times with a beer bottle on the head.

“And things took an even more sinister turn when he broke a beer bottle and used its pieces to stab Madzibaba Richy on his back and manhood.

“Reports from his relatives are that he has not had an erection since and it is feared that the injuries might be permanent. He is also having trouble urinating,” said the source who declined to be named.

The source further said during the attack both Madzibaba Richy and Mapuranga screamed like trapped animals while receiving a thorough hiding from Madamba.

Although Madamba could not be reached for comment, his wife confirmed the incident. She however, disputed that she was caught having sex with Madzibaba Richy.

“What you heard is untrue. When my husband came home, he just found Madzibaba Richy in the house conducting some prayers. How can we have sex in the presence of the children? He was just incensed why I had invited him without his consent,” said Mapuranga before she hung up her phone.

After he suffered the horror assault and out of shame Madzibaba Richy reportedly left the area to an unknown destination- B-Metro

“Gabriel Nyoni Might Not Play Football Again”

Zimbabwean winger Gabriel Nyoni is a worried man amid the possibility that he might never play football again, the speedy winger has opened up.

Nyoni suffered a career threatening foot injury in his Cape Umoya United’s goalless draw with Richards Bay in a Glad Africa Championship last month.

Despite undergoing a successful surgery, the former Highlanders captain has been told he might never play the game again, a possibility which is affecting him psychologically.

“The doctor is saying the injury depends on how I will heal but between six to nine months. But there is a possibility I might not be able to play again. It’s a Lisfranc foot injury. If you research it you will see most athletes stopped playing because of it. But the doctor said it all depends. So, they will decide on it six months from now,”he was quoted as saying by South African publication Soccer Laduma.

“Depression is quite difficult to deal with, especially when it comes to injuries or let me say career-threatening injuries like the one I just had. It destabilizes your mind. You will be having a lot of thoughts popping in your mind. But as for me, I share how am feeling with family and friends. They give me hope. And also as a religious person, I end up giving my trust in God to handle it,”Nyoni added.- Soccer 24 Zimbabwe

South African Taxi Operators Tell Mnangagwa To Fully Re-open Zim Border

Hear My Story: I’m Now Suffering And Willing To Return Love Charm- Lady Regrets…

Own Correspondent|
A Mberengwa woman is in hot soup after reportedly buying charms to get rich.

Reports say the woman, identified as Chengetai, is at loggerheads with her family members.

Sources claimed Chengetai visited outspoken Masvingo preacher Isaac Makomichi who allegedly gave her the charms to lure rich guys.

“Chenge wants to get married but all her boyfriends are threating to commit suicide if she abandons them.

We are planning to confront the preacher who gave her the charms,” said Chenge’s brother.

Chengetai would not confirm whether she got the charms from Makomichi.

Panicky Zanu PF Claims President Chamisa Is Plotting To Cause Social Disharmony…

Furore As DeMbare Donates Replica Jersey To Mnangagwa

Tinashe Sambiri|Soccer fans have expressed mixed views on the donation of a replica jersey by Harare Giants Dynamos FC to Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Last month, Mr Mnangagwa received a replica jersey from Bulawayo Giants Highlanders FC.

According to irate football fans, Mr Mnangagwa is using the popularity of the two soccer giants to gain political marks.

However, Presidential spokesperson George Charamba wrote on Twitter:

“The Club gave the President its iconic jersey bearing his initials. A few weeks back, His Excellency the President met with the hierarchy of Highlanders Football Club to listen to challenges they face in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic which has stymied contact sporting activities worldwide.

“Two key faces in Dynamos FC are former Minister of Information and Publicity, Hon Webster Shamu, and Cde Marechera, both war veterans. Cde Marechera who appears in the accompanying picture with Dynamos Chairman, participated in historic Zanla attack on Grand Reef Airbase, a mission which was led by late Paradzayi Zimondi, Augustine Chihuri.”

Agenda 2021: Resistance And Resilience – A Clarion Call To The Youths

12-03-2021

By Stephen Sarkozy Chuma

This week the People’s President, Advocate Nelson Chamisa rolled out a course of action for the year, and encapsulated in #Agenda2021 is a special message to the youths.

The message is very clear and key if we are to survive from Emmerson Mnangagwa’s senseless onslaught targeted at young people at each and every turn.

Resistance, defiance and resilience MUST be our game as we take the dictator head on.

Mnangagwa and his gang have been very consistent in their evil scheming to annihilate the opposition.

No day passes without one of us being caged on useless charges.

Our youth leaders, Makomborero Haruzivishe, Cecilia Chimbiri, Joana Mamombe, ZINASU President Takudzwa Ngadziore and many others are currently languishing in prison for no apparent reason.

The regime is treating us like animals in a zoo that are caged at the owner’s will.

More than never before it is equally critical that we match or out do this fascist regime’s onslaught with equal force and more resistance.

From students, civil society leaders, trade unionists, journalists to political activists, Mnangagwa’s forked repressive hand has reached every grouping.

No one is safe from Mnangagwa except his family!

The dictator, Mnangagwa is the common denominator as far as our nervous conditions as citizens is concerned.

He is the number one enemy of citizens!

As rightly put forward by President Chamisa in #Agenda2021 speech, the time for citizens convergence against authoritarianism is now.

Change is what we all seek and it is within our reach. We are the change we seek.

We can not play victim card forever and watch while each one of us are caged on rotational basis at Mnangagwa’s will.

We deserve our freedom and we got to fight for it!

Defiance, resistance and resilience against dictatorship must be our daily bread.

JUST IN: Sheffield United Manager Quits Job

Chris Wilder has left his role as manager of Sheffield United.

Wilder took over at Bramall Lane in May 2016 and guided the club to promotion from League One in his first season.

He took Sheffield United into the Premier League just two seasons later and led them to a hugely creditable ninth-place finish in their first campaign back in the top flight.

However, the Blades have spent almost the entirety of this season bottom of the Premier League table and are currently 12 points off safety with 10 games remaining.

They face Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

A press conference with Wilder to preview that match was cancelled by Sheffield United on Friday.

Tensions between Wilder and club owner Abdullah Bin Musa’ad Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud have heightened recently.

FULL TEXT: Zanu PF Attacks Chamisa Over His Agenda 2021 Address

The
 Revolutionary
 Party
ZANU
 PF
has
noted
with
contempt,
the
MDC A
veiled
threats
 to
unseat
a
constitutionally
elected
Government
 following
pronouncements
 by
Mr
Nelson
 Chamisa
during
 his
hollow
 address
of
09
March
2021,
dubbed,
Agenda
2021.

In
 his
long
 monologue,
Mr
Chamisa
did
not
only
 fail
to
demonstrate
leadership
but
failed
to
instil
hope
 in
his
fractured
party,
instead,
rumbling
about
seeking
 to
establish
pockets
of resistance
 across
the
country
similar
to
the
ill-fated
31
July
2020
attempted
violent
demonstrations,
 whose
sole
attempt
was
to
 destabilise
the
country.

While, ZANU
 PF
has
the
capacity
to
 thwart
such
machinations,
as
a
law
 abiding organisation,
 we
rest
the
matter
 with
the
law
 enforcement
agencies.
 The
people
of
Zimbabwe
 have
had
 enough
 of
 this
 childish
rambling
 from
 a
party
 clearly
 running
short
of
oxygen.
ZANU
PF and
its
leadership
have
 no
agenda
whatsoever
to
 decimate
 any
opposition
political
party.

We
 cherish
 democracy
as
born
out
of
a
protracted
 Liberation
 Struggle
which
 freed
 our
people
 from
 the
shackles
of
colonialism
and
settler
regime,
winning
 freedom
 and independence
 in
1980.
Of course
there
was
no
MDC
then,
 not
even
in
Zimbabwe’s
 womb.
 ZANU
 PF
therefore
urges
political
players
to
embrace
dialogue
and
join
others
under
POLAD in
the
 spirit
 of
frank
 engagements
 instead
 of
 focusing
on
divisive
and
polarising
antics.

For
 the
 record,
 ZANU
 PF is
 proud
 of
 how
 our
Government
has
rallied
the
nation
in
 fighting Covid-19
 and
significant
strides
have
been
made
including
among
others,
acquiring
 the
vaccine
which
 has
seen
 our
frontline
warriors
being
inoculated.
It
is
therefore
not
only preposterous
but
 irresponsible
 to
 say
 the
 least,
 for
 Mr
 Chamisa
 and
 his
 lot
 to
 suggest
 or
 opine
 that
 our
 government
is
using
Covid-19
to
 delay
by-elections.

The
 President,
Cde
ED
Mnangagwa
has
reiterated
 severally,
that
his
objective
in
all
these
 measures
 put
 in
 place
is
to
save
 our
people’s
lives
because
 once
lost,
they
can
 never
be
 recovered.
It
is
therefore
mindboggling
that
given
this
imperative,
Mr
Chamisa’s
faction
is
 obsessed
with
by-elections
which
of
course,
 by
 all
standards
 have
 no
effect
to
ZANU
 PF’s two
thirds
parliamentary
majority.

Be
 that
 as
 it
 may,
 ZANU
 PF points
 it
 clearly,
 that
 the
 Party
 does
 not
 interfere
 with
 parliamentary
 recalls
involving
non members
and
does
not
interfere
with
the
running
of
by-elections,
which
is
a
prerogative
of
the
Zimbabwe
Electoral
Commission
(ZEC).
The
Party
is
 more
than
ready
for
the
by-elections,
except
that
we
 respect
 the
measures
put
in
place
to save
lives
during
these
deadly
 times.

ZANU
PF is
 quite
alive
however,
that
Mr
Chamisa
is
under
pressure
to
seek
 relevance
 in
 the
 face
of
mass
 exodus
of
key
members
from
 his
party
who
have
defected
to
the
Revolutionary
 Party.
This
is
not
our
 problem,
 but
his,
and
 we
 shall
continue
 to
welcome
 all those
who
have
 elected
to
return
back
to
ZANU
PF,
the
People’s
Party.
That
 should
 not
be
 equated
to
forming
a
 one party
state.

Zimbabwe
remains
a
multiparty
democracy
and
ZANU
PF cherishes
that.
 However,
we
 don’t
 offer
political
consultancy
to
collapsing
parties.
As
such,
 those
tired
of
civil
 political engagement
must
stop
venting
out
their
frustration
through
 experimenting
with
the
 country’s
hard
won
Freedom,
Peace
 and
Unity. ZANU
 PF urges
its
membership
to
remain
vigilant
in

ED Meets Dynamos Executive At State House

Magufuli Airlifted To India For COVID-19 Treatment

Chimanimani Woman Spotted Breastfeeding Snake

BREASTFEEDING is beautiful and natural.

It is a sacred bond between a mother and her young one.

However, it becomes scary when a woman in menopause breastfeeds a snake.

This is the case of a Chimanimani woman who has sent tongues wagging after being spotted at her friend’s house breastfeeding the giant reptile.

The hard to believe incident is now before Chief Mutambara’s court as two elderly friends – Gogo Savie Nenohwe and Gogo Ethel Sithole – are answering to the witchcraft allegations being levelled against them.

Gogo Nenohwe was spotted by a 12-year-old girl as she breastfed the snake while uttering names of fellow villagers whom she wanted her ‘baby’ to deal with.

Chief Mutambara urged the two women to consult a white garment prophetess, Madzimai Loice Mukono. The visit to Madzimai Mukono’s shrine saw the skeletons tumbling from the duo’s closets as the prophetess revealed that a snake that resides at Gogo Sithole’s homestead is used by the ladies for witchcraft.

When the case was heard before Chief Mutambara’s Court last week on Saturday, the key witness narrated the spine chilling incident.

“I saw Gogo Nenohwe breastfeeding a very big snake which had a red cloth and beads tied around it. After breastfeeding it, she took out a plate of food and fed the snake. I did not see what food she was feeding it, but I heard her muttering names of fellow villagers and telling the snake to deal with them,” narrated the minor.

After reporting the case to Gogo Sithole and realising that she was not taking any action, the young girl then reported the matter to other villagers.  It was also brought before the village head, Ms Molline Nenohwe’s attention, who then took the issue to Chief Mutambara.

The two women were then summoned to the traditional leader’s court.

“Why is it that when this girl told you that she had seen your friend breastfeeding a snake at your house you did not take any action? It is clear that this girl is traumatised by what she saw,” said Chief Mutambara.

In her defence, Gogo Sithole said when the girl brought the matter to her attention, she could not travel to the chief’s court to make a report.

“I did not have money to bring the matter to your court. I also did not confront Nenohwe because I knew that once I confronted her, I would need to bring the matter before the chief’s court, yet I couldn’t do that at that moment,” she said.

But Gogo Sithole’s niece, Maria, said she used to share a room with the snake.

“I used to sleep in the room where Gogo Nenohwe was seen breastfeeding the snake. The snake stays in that room. I stopped using the room because of that and begged my aunt to move me to another room. Sometimes the snake comes out to bask in the sun,” said Maria.

Other villagers in Nenohwe Village also said they have come across a giant snake that has a red cloth tied around it. Villagers say the snake has been spotted basking in the sun at Gogo Sithole’s homestead.

Gogo Nenohwe remained tight-lipped during the hearing and refused to entertain the media after the court session. Madzimai Mukono is now on a mission to capture the snake.

“We went to Gogo Sithole’s homestead to capture the snake on Monday, but failed to do so as a multitude had gathered to witness the drama. We will go back later this week and we hope to succeed in our mission.

“After capturing the snake, we will bring it to the chief’s court,” said Madzimai Mukono.

Shock As Son Dangles Manhood, Urinates On The Couch Over Food

A heartbroken woman had to drag her unruly son to court after he came home drunk on several occasions and at one time dangled his manhood before her and urinated on the sofas after accusing her of giving him inadequate food.

Agnes Ndlovu has had no peace at the hands of her rowdy son, Dalubuhle Ncube (43), who insults her whenever he comes home from a beer binge.

Agnes told a court that her son at times comes home at around midnight and shouts at her.

She went on to say she had tried on several occasions to reprimand him, but he never cared to listen.

Instead he became so unruly and pushed her violently against the wall causing her to suffer a fractured arm.

Dalubuhle dangled his manhood in front of his mother and urinated on the sofas, while saying he was fixing her for giving him little sadza.

Seeing that her child had crossed the line, she approached the courts.

“I’m applying for a protection order against my son Dalubuhle who harasses me, he always comes home drunk and insults me for giving him little sadza. When I tried to reprimand him he pushed me against the wall and I fractured an arm. He would urinate on sofas saying he is fixing me and I had to leave him after he shouted obscenities at me.

What he did is against our African culture,” said the troubled Ndlovu.

The presiding magistrate Jeconia Prince Ncube ordered Dalubuhle not to verbally and emotionally abuse his mother.

Probe As Patient Kills Self At Hospital

By A Correspondent- Police in Marondera have launched a probe into a suspected suicide incident which occurred at Mahusekwa District Hospital on Tuesday this week, involving a female patient.

NewsDay heard that on the fateful day, the patient, identified as Norest Matiyenga (38), from Chigodora village under Chief Chihota, fled from a female ward and went to the male ward on the first floor where she plunged to the ground headlong, leading to her death.

Mashonaland East provincial police spokesperson Inspector Tendai Mwanza confirmed the incident and referred further questions to his bosses in Harare.

Although Mashonaland East provincial medical director Paul Matsvimbo could not be reached for comment yesterday, documents shown to NewsDay indicated that the now-deceased was admitted to the hospital on March 3.

On March 9, Matiyenga allegedly escaped from the female ward and proceeded to the male ward on the first floor where she jumped to her death.

Drama As Stepfather Is Busted Bedding Daughter-in-Law

A man from Horongondo Village in Gokwe has been dragged to Chief Mkoka’s traditional court after he was caught having sex with his daughter-in-law.

A family insider, who spoke to B- Metro on condition of anonymity, said Tobias Chiyangwa (37), who works in Kwekwe, fell ill at work and decided to go home without telling his family that he was coming home.

He arrived home at around 2.30am on Thursday last week and headed straight to his bedroom hut. On entering his bedroom, he got the shock of his life as he found his stepfather, Levious Mataire (47), bonking his wife Moreblessing Chuma (28).

“It was sad after he caught his stepfather having sex with his wife Moreblessing. His stepfather tried to flee, but it was too late as he had already seen him. He did not do anything to them since he was not feeling well,” said the family insider.

The family insider went on to say a shamed Moreblessing fled.

“After being caught, Moreblessing failed to face her husband and has since fled to her parents’ home in Gweru,” said the family source.

When contacted for a comment Tobias said: “I caught them having sex on my matrimonial bed. I have since put the bed out of the bedroom and I will no longer use it. I reported the matter to Chief Mkoka. My wife has left for her parents’ home in Gweru and left a letter of apology under the pillow in our matrimonial bedroom,” said Tobias.

Chief Mkoka confirmed the incident.

“We are handling a matter of infidelity where a man was caught having sex with his daughter-in-law. If he is found guilty he would be fined three cattle for sleeping with his daughter-in-law and would be ordered to buy a new bed for his stepson,” he said.
