Staff Reporter| Zimbabweans will never stop to defend one of their own and would rather watch as injustice continues against their own flesh- A Nigerian man being deported abused by immigration officers in the Netherlands was lucky after a group of countrymen teamed up against immigration cops.

ZimEye sources in the Netherlands have confirmed the incident of a truth happened in Amsterdam.

There was drama on the KLM flight on Saturday when the plane was grounded at the Amsterdam Schiphol airport. The abused man, whose name was not available at the time of writing, was shackled “like an animal.”  In the below video, the protesting men can be heard screaming out loud, “Nobody deserves to be treated this way!”

The officers were forcibly deporting the man and passengers managed to ground the flight.

If this flight was full of Zimbabweans with one of their own being treated like an animal, these kinsmen would have watched full view as the abuse continues.

To illustrate how Nigerians are united, a comparison is made between them and US citizens as the incident comes short in the heels of another one in which a doctor was forced off an overbooked flight. VIDEO:

  1. Not all Zimbos in the diaspora are bad. In fact most of them are very supportive of others. The only difference is Zimbas work very hard professionally and on the job . Most Nigerians are very lazy ,unprofessional and crooked. Their aggressive tone and manner of speaking is the same. They isolate other hard working nationalities out of fear of losing out since they know that on an even playing ground they lose. Hence they appear and play united. Zimas don’t necessarily need that artificial unity because their hard work make them survive. Normally it’s lazy Zimbos who are always crying to be bailed by others

  2. There are people with direction everywhere. All I’m saying is lets not sale ourselves short.

Most zimbabweans in the Diaspora have been assisted by another zimbabwean.

Where have you read zimbabweans selling each other into sex slavery ,or using each other as drug mules?. Nigerians do that!.

Most of these poor Nigerians are merely forced by circumstance to come together, not out of need for unity. The well off Nigerians, stay far far away from their poor brothers , Because most of them are up to no good.

No country has a monopoly on unity or love or assistance. Its all circumstancial. Not based on one’s country.

The other reason Nigerians come together is because of segregation. Most of them have no real education, can’t speak proper English,so the general population shuns them.Unlike Mo’s zimbabweans, they have qualifications, can speak well ..In English and even SA languages. So Because of that , people tend to do their own thing.I once met this Nigerian woman who complained that SA were segregating her at the college she worked and eventually fired her…But after just 2 mins i understood why she was fired .Most speak this pigeon language of theirs, which we can’t understand. So as a result they have more reason to unite, not out of love ,but necessity.

  3. Yes, you are one of the good Zimbabweans. I am sure ever since i came to SA i only employ Zim guys and i have a database of endless Zim professionals I directly or indirectly assisted to get employment too. These are professionals who mind their business, however, we have some without direction. If they know that you are Zimbabwean, you will walk home naked.

On the other hand, i have come accross very unemployed Nigerians doing their STUFF together to the extend of having various societies to help one another. Even during xenophobia, they fought as one and for some of us, it was one man for himself.

Maybe it has something to do with our generation. We never experienced this from our parents back home, vakabatana.

  4. this is a united airlines flight incident come on zimeye. the man in the video is chinese

  5. Well said time zimbabweans thought of each other
Zimbabweans regardless of what race they are will never stick up for each other have witnessed it. If they have money and you have money they will stick up for you in other words all for themselves and God for us all scenario

  6. Maybe your Shona mom ,is the one that is against your Shona dad….I’m Shona ,and i don’t know what you are talking about.

No people is born united , Remember we are all strangers to each other .We have people who have made it and people who did help.

Shonas are now many and successful in SA ,how then did they make it in a foreign south Africa , without assistance. It shows that they got assistance from some other shonas, doesn’t it.

  7. No that’s not the truth, most Nigerians in SA don’t even trust each other and if they have a chance would want to stay far far away from fellow Nigerians.

This is not true that Nigerians are so united. They have as many differences as we do , between this ethnicities eg Ibo ,Yoruba..They have this tension. And they take advantage of each other .

I have stayed with many Nigerians, and this is true.

One act of courage does not define a whole country ,just as one act of cowardice doesn’t define a country too.

These things are circumstancial, are these people related,or friends ?Or are they random people who just met other plane?.

    What exactly?.

No country is born united ,many Nigerians are languishing in prisons due to their fellows and many have been killed or sold as sex slaves in Europe,by other Nigerians.Such things are in every country, stop selling ZIMBABWE and ZIMBABWEANS for a song.

If you are a coward ,that’s your problem. For some of us we have helped our country men ,strangers at that ,get jobs .I have helped 7 random zimbabweans, Ndebele and Shona, when they left their CVS at my work place .

I have called them ,directed them to were to find a job and who to go see and given them my name .
Most Thought it was a scam…She couldn’t believe that a stranger, even a ZIMBABWEAN,could just call her and refer her to a job just like that…3 refused to go 7 went and got jobs…Even now they don’t even know my face .

What i did is only a small part of what other Zimbabweans are doing to help each other.

  8. Yes we are, trust me. On the other hand, Nigerians are united for real. I never heard for example a case of a Nigerian robbing his fellow countrymen in a foreign land and this is the norm of the day when it comes to Zim guys in South Africa, let alone the other countries.
