The Zanu PF youth league Manicaland provincial executive has passed a vote of no confidence on provincial youth chairperson Kelvin Manyengavana and two other members.
The three are being accused of fuelling divisions and failing to abide by the party’s constitution.
Twenty-five Zanu PF Manicaland provincial youth members appended their signatures in support of the vote of no confidence passed on provincial chairperson Manyengavana, treasurer Getrude Mutandi and commissar Washington Nziwiwi.
In announcing the vote of no confidence, the vice chairperson of the provincial youth league Mbuso Chinguno says the trio deliberately sabotaged the youth league inter-provincial conference which was supposed to lay down the resolutions for the December conference.
s Mutandi and Nziwiwi are also accused of interfering in the women’s league, thereby causing divisions and fuelling factionalism. Efforts to get a comment from the three were fruitless. Chinguno is now the acting provincial youth chairman.
