The government’s main witness meant to testify against the preacher is currently missing and as a result the hearing has had to be adjourned to next month.
ZimEye.com can reveal it will now be heard on the 1st February after the presiding magistrate Lindiwe Maphosa was met with disappointment early Tuesday.
Meanwhile Mugadza has through his lawyer Thulani Nkala applied for bail conditions to be relaxed. At present the court is still in possession of his travel documents and he is also required to report to the local police station every Friday.
The outcome of that application is to be announced as soon as a magistrate peruses it.
Pastor Mugadza was charged with criminal nuisance and a magistrate granted him $500 bail which was later reduced to $50.
He has openly warned Robert Mugabe that he must listen to the cry of the poor according to Proverbs 21 verse 13 which reads: “Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out and not be answered.”
