President Robert Mugabe is gone.
Mugabe who arrived late yesterday from his annual leave in the far east, has a few hours later flown out of the country for the AU Summit.
The state media reports that Mugabe has left Harare for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where he will join other leaders from the continent for the 28th African Union Summit.
The AU Summit is a crucial meeting held annually at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The assembly is the AU’s supreme organ and comprises of heads of state and government from all 54 member states.
Issues deliberated and agreed on at the summit guide the AU’s policies and the programme for the year.
The President was seen off at the Harare International Airport by the two Vice Presidents Emmerson Mnangagwa and Phelekezela Mphoko, Home Affairs Minister Dr Ignatius Chombo, Information Media and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Chris Mushohwe, Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development Dr Joram Gumbo, Minister of State for Harare Province Miriam Chikukwa and Service Chiefs among others. – State Media
Do these summits yield anything fruitful? I think the government should account for all the tax payer’s money and how they prioritise their initiatives

He is a Shona and the majority of voters who make the difference in elections are Shona in Zim. That is the problem!!
This is pathetic, these animals really do not care a bit about the country. Just think of it besides the dollars taken out by their president , a crazy team of two Vice Presidents and a horde of ministers accompany the fool to the airport. How much fuel is needed to take thes busterds, their bodyguards, the dirty CIO to and from the airport? This is rot in totality. As for Mugabe , what benefit will Zimbabwe get from his attendance? What contribution to the continent is he going to make? These cultists will suck all our blood.
The ONLY reason the Mugabe’s returned to Zimbabwe was to fill up the suit case with more American Dollars from their personal account RBZ! All the US$ collected and swapped with Bob Notes since December have now left the Country! Mugabe will be back soon and expects MORE US$ from the foolish Zimbabweans!
