By Festus Jongwe| Pastor Evan Mawarire never screamed when Harare had troubles with sewage treatment and this has been the case since the days when ZANU PF ran the council 19 years ago. He does not complain let alone mention how Ignatius Chombo ran the council down. But the same man wants MDC councillors removed from their jobs because of the problem that began when ZANU PF ran the councils, what type of a Pastor is this Mawarire?

Thus why Chombo is fired….or arrested for crimes he committed…
During ZANU-PF ran Council i never saw dirty water like the one these days of MDC-T run Council….to compare it with ZANU-PF Council is pure lies…..it never happened like this…its disgusting…..clearly MDC-T Councillors failed….
You are not missing something but everything. There is a big difference between Harare 19 years ago and Harare today. If you don’t see this big difference then it’s no wonder why you are asking if you are missing something. To you you think MDC councilors are doing great and you think they should not be made to account for mismanaging our cities because city councilors of ZANU PF of 19 years ago were not criticized. What kind of thinking is this? You think being a councilor is a job that needs to protected really? So to you if the degrading of cities started way back, the trend should continue because someone else started it and it does not matter because ZANU PF started it. Everyone knows the state of our cites today as compared to what they used to be; I don’t have to itemize the things that have broken down under the watch of present day councilors because I don’t have space and time. The bottom line is they have dismally failed together with council top management and they should just go.
