By Farai D Hove| Convicted fraudster, Wicknell Chivayo who has failed to lift the Gwanda solar project after obtaining over $5million, has caused a publicity dent on President Emmerson Mnangagwa after it emerged the Head Of State handed him an award for managerial excellence during the same year he received the public funds, 2016.

Social networks were abuzz with photographs from the ceremony circulating widely. The pictures show President Mnangagwa smiling while handing Chivayo the award, during the time he was still Vice President.

Ever since Chivayo was exposed, the convicted fraudster has boasted on social media that he will never be arrested and his latest video saying this will be revealed by ZimEye on Thursday.

Commented political activist Makomborero Haruzivishe‏, “Wicknell Chivayo received the manager of the year award and President Emmerson Mnangagwa presented the award to him the very year he looted the $7 million taxpayers money.

“Only the trees have changed, the monkeys remain the same!”

Efforts to get a comment from President Mnangagwa were fruitless at the time of writing.
