By Staff Reporter| After a long wait following a court verdict, former first lady Grace Mugabe was yesterday physically removed from properties she had occupied which belong to a Lebanese businessman, ZimEye can reveal.

ZimEye has it on firm authority that Mrs Mugabe, her son, and a police officer were “by ginya” banished from businessman, Jamal Ahmed’s houses yesterday.

Mr Ahmed told ZimEye last night, “I can today confirm that Grace was evicted from my properties.”

But ZimEye is told the properties are now in a very bad shape, a state of damage and many items are missing.

Mr Ahmed said, “the properties were all damaged and many items missing.

“The people that were living in all my properties were armed and main person was a gentleman from police by name of Fero. Finally there is justice in Zimbabwe,” he exclaimed.

Last year Grace Mugabe violated the businessman’s rights when she used her husband’s executive powers to seize the man’s properties. She also obtained a suspicious verdict from Justice George Chiweshe which gave her more powers to take the properties following a transaction involving a diamond ring which she had bought from the businessman.

ZimEye could not at the time of writing obtain measurable details on the state of damage reported. ZimEye could neither ascertain the next steps the man is now going to take.
