The ruling party has instructed both private and public companies to bankroll the Independence Day Celebrations, it has emerged.

Government sources told ZimEye.com a strategic meeting on the Independence Day Celebrations was held in Beitbridge last week.

The meeting was chaired by Acting Beitbridge District Administrator Kilibon Ndou.

“During the meeting companies were ordered to make contributions towards the Independence Day Celebrations,” said a government official.
