By Eric Mumba| Spirited efforts by Harare West MP Jessie Majome for the capital city to have councillors who are educated bore fruit today when the outgoing Harare Mayor, Ben Manyenyeni insisted on the matter.

Speaking on the sidelines of his last public speech as mayor, His Worship Ben Mnanyenyeni told ZimEye.com, “like I said in August 2015, we need at least one one third of the councillors, at least one third of the councillors must be able to present professional credentials.”

He added saying this is the only way council can move forward. “They must present professional credentials in certain key areas, in certain specialisations; That’s the only way we can move forward,” he said. SEE VIDEO:
