Trevor Ncube: I Fear What MDC-T Supporters May Do To My Family, Not ZANU-PF Supporters

By Paul Nyathi|Top media businessman Trevor Ncube, who in recent days openly expressed his new found love for ZANU PF has said he fears what MDC-T supporters might do to him and his family, and not the perrenially violent ZANU-PF supporters.

Ncube the owner of top Zimbabwean news houses the News-Day, the Independent and the Standard, made his remarks in a Twitter post on Monday which attracted him a huge outburst from the public which expressed shock at his new love for the party his papers opposite everyday.

On his twitter timeline, Ncube states that what his newspapers publish should not be compared with his personal opinion. ” l am not my newspapers. My newspapers are not me,” reads his timeline.

In a tweet on Monday, Ncube said: “Right now l am more concerned about what MDC-T supporters might do to me and my family more than what ZANU-PF might do to me. I survived Gukurahundi and all what Robert Mugabe did to me. This too shall pass!!”

It is not clear what prompted Ncube’s concern for his family’s safety leading to the tweet.
