Ronaldo has struck twice in the first half putting Portugal in the lead at half time.

Portugal took the lead in the 4th minute when Ronaldo converted from the spot after he was brought down by Spain player Nacho. Spain replied with a spectacular goal from a one man show by Diego Costa against the whole Portugal defence.

But predatory Ronaldo struck again  at the end of the first half (44′) with a drilled shot forcing Spain goalkeeper to spill the ball.
