Concerns have been raised over the motive of Zanu PF Youth League members who are demanding national identity details from residents in the city of Masvingo.

Zanu PF youths and members of the Women’s League are moving around wards in Masvingo Urban Constituency demanding national identity details without specifying the reasons for doing so.

The Zanu PF activists are also asking the residents to disclose their preferred candidates.

“We are recording the details for reference purposes only- nothing else.We are also compiling a data base of registered voters in Masvingo Urban Constituency,” a ruling party official said.
