By Own Correspondent| Passengers travelling from Harare to Buhera South were left stranded after the bus that they were travelling in got stuck in the sand on a dusty road leading to Mutiusinazita area.

Buhera South, where MP elect Joseph Chinotimba emerged winner in the just ended harmonised polls, has seen a few buses servicing the area because of poor roads.

Said one of the passengers:

“We have pinned our hopes on the new dispensation, maybe things will change for the better but so far, it looks like the suffering continues,” said one of the disgruntled passengers.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa is on record directing the police to descend heavily on reckless drivers who cause accidents on the country’s roads.

Mnangagwa said this while mourning the death of 13 people who perished along the Harare Bulawayo highway when a Chawasarira bus was involved in a head on collision with a commuter omnibus last week. At least 23 people were injured in the crash.
