By Own Correspondent| President Emmerson Mnangagwa commissioned 40 vehicles for the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
The vehicles, comprising 35 pick-up trucks and five lorries at Morris Depot were commissioned after the Presidential Graduation Parade.
The 40 vehicles are the first batch from the 109 recently purchased by Government out of 897 vehicles authorised for procurement to the police. The vehicle were bought to enhance the ZRP ’s operations.
In his address at the graduation, the President said government was aware of the need to provide police with resources.
Acting Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Perrance Shiri thanked government for its support to the police saying the realisation of Vision 2030 was dependent on the existence of a peaceful environment.-StateMedia
