Own Correspondent|Prominent public transport operator, Kukura Kurerwa Bus Company is set to lose its fleet of buses in a liquidation auction sale set for next week Friday.
The company put up an advert for the auction in the paper.
This follows after former employees recently obtained a writ of execution to attach the property to recover over $442 000 in outstanding salaries and terminal benefits.
Back in August the company’s director Mr Patrick Nyariri in an interview with Newsday said because of the debilitating economic conditions, the company was struggling and owing its creditors over $2 million which they had failed to pay back.
The company was also indebted to African Banking Corporation to the tune of $1 588 164 plus interest arising from an overdraft facility with the bank which the company, because of the position it finds itself in, is failing to service.
