Own Correspondent|The Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association ZHDA, has refuted claims by the state owned Herald Newspaper that striking junior doctors have agreed to call off their 34 day industrial action after meeting with the First Lady Auxilia Mnangagwa.

In an official tweet, the Association says that it is yet to consult with all its members country wide to decide on the way forward on submissions made by the First Lady.

The Herald published a breaking news story claiming that the doctors had agreed to go back to work after commitments to have their grievances sorted by the First Lady.

Amongst the most thorny demands by the doctors is to be paid in US Dollars.
