Minister Who Bought Snow Graders Says RBZ Has Purchased Enough Fuel To Cover For The Next 2 Years
8 February 2019

The Energy Minister who once bought snow graders for Zimbabwe’s roads, Joram Gumbo, has said the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (ZRB) has bought fuel supplies to cover the next two years.
He said as a result there is no need for the public to panic.
Speaking during a Senate session during a Question and Answer session, he said social media reports of a pending increase in fuel prices were false. He also said, “I was invited by the President today (yesterday) to a meeting where there was the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor Dr John Mangudya where I was shown several payments made by the central bank to procure fuel. I was shown payments that would cover the next 24 months.”
