Jane Mlambo| MDC Secretary General Douglas Mwonzora has called for unity of purpose to contain the effects of cyclone idai whose devastating effects in Manicaland has seen more than 20 people confirmed dead.

Mwonzora who hails from Nyanga said all stakeholders accross the political divide should come together to ameliorate the effects of Idai.

“Manicaland province is currently at the receiving end of Cyclone Idai, Government and all stakeholders across the political divide must unite and ameliorate the effects of Idai. No blame game. Take your neighbors plight as your own plight. We shall prevail,” said Mwonzora is a Twitter post.

According to ZBC, 24 people have been confirmed dead while 150 are reportedly missing.
