By Farai D Hove| An affectionate empowerment activist, Ruth Leman has died.

Her family confirmed the ZANU PF member passed away yesterday, Saturday, saying she was unwell. They however did not describe the nature of the illness.

“So sad to announce the loss of our beloved sister Ruth Leman so soon after we bid farewell to our father just this last month,” announced family member Foster James.

He continued saying, “Funeral arrangements are underway. Mourners are gathered at Number 12, Munro Road, Cranborne.”

While details were sketchy at the time of writing, the Norton MP, Temba Mliswa described Leman’s departure saying: “very sad indeed, and may her soul rest in peace. She was certainly a nationalist, a patriotic person who contributed immensely to whatever she believed was good for the people; that’s something you can take from her, and I hope we draw lessons from that.” – MORE TO FOLLOW…
