By A Correspondent- Secretary general for Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans’ Association (ZNLWVA), Victor Matemadanda has been re-assigned by Zanu-PF to the hot position of Political Commissar with immediate effect. Most before him have suffered either an assassination or a humiliating exit and they include the late Border Gezi and Elliot Manyika. He takes over from Engelbert Rugeje who is waiting for redeployment in September this year.

The development was revealed during a press briefing by ZANU PF secretary for Information and Publicity Simon Khaya Moyo after the party’s extraordinary session of the Politburo. Moyo said:

The Politburo has appointed Cde Matemadanda to the position of Secretary for Commissariat replacing Cde Rugeje. Cde Rugeje will remain a Politburo member pending re-deployment in September this year.
