By A Correspondent| Four more councillors have been sucked into the Bulawayo City parking tender storm after it emerged that they were hosted at a Harare hotel for 8 days by City Parking.

Councillors Sikhululekile Moyo of Ward 17, Mlandu Ncube of ward 1, Frank Javangwe of Ward 13 and Sinikiwe Mutanda of Ward 10 were hosted by City Parking at Monomotapa hotel from the 9th to the 17th of May 2019 where they were allegedly discussing the modalities of the tender.

According to receipts in our possession, the four checked in on 9 May and stayed 8 days.

Said the source:

“Councilor Solomon Mguni who is also Bulawayo Mayor joined them the following day.”

Another Harare source confirmed that Mguni was flown into Harare to attend this meeting on 10 May.

Bulawayo residents are up in arms with their city fathers and blaming the Deputy Mayor Tinashe Kambarami for the City Parking debacle.

Said the source

“The ones that are behind this deal want to look clean and implicate Kambarami and several others and yet they are the ones behind the negotiations with the Harare based company.

“The stories published are a smear campaign against Kambarami. Javangwe and team are pushing a tribal card to make it look like they are not also involved. But the Mayor is also involved in all this because he was with this team from 09 July to 17 July discussing the modalities of their deal.”
