The Gwanda anti sanctions was a near flop on Friday as only a handful of students and senior government officials attended the event.

The low key event kicked off with a disappointingly low turn out to a march through the streets of the town to Pelindava Stadium where the gathering spent hours scorching in the heat with no entertainment arranged.

The Minister of State for Mat South province Abednico Ncube also snubbed the event in the provincial capital opting to rather attend a similar hurriedly organised event in Beitbridge where ANC of South Secretary General Ace Mahachule attended the event together with Obert Mpofu the ZANU PF Secretary for Administration
