By A Correspondent- A 16 year old boy is nursing injuries on his b-uttocks after he was brutally assaulted at the Marange Diamond fields.

The development comes against the backdrop of denials by the government that there are no more human rights abuses at the diamond fields.

But the 16 year old lad (name withheld) was assaulted until blood started gushing from wounds sustained during the assault.

The minor was assaulted by the guards after he was found outside the ZCDC fireguard.

The Marange Diamond Trust leader Moses Mukwada confirmed the development and said:

” We have one young man aged 16yrs. Akarorwa me ZCDC guards zvakaipisisa mushu mekunge abatwa achitsvara kunze kwe fireguard ye ZCDC.”
